Must admit that I haven't seen much of Martinez, is he an out and out CF, or can he play a wide forward role?

If he's a CF, where does this leave Kane?

Story is probably rubbish but this guy is a quality CF. 20 mil is a lot but he is big, quick and skilled. Did say similar to Benteke, not as big but sees the game better. The Porto team was fantastic to watch in CL this year

I'm not trying to be rude, but have you all never actually watched Martinez? He has been a top forward for years now. He's normally amongst the best players in the CL every year since arriving at Porto in 2012.

I think you will find that Soldado finished third best striker behind a guy called Messi and one called Ronaldo the season before he joined us. Fat lot of good that's done us.

Remember there being itk during the January window saying we were having a look at him, and a possible swap plus cash may have been on the cards.

So we shouldn't go for anyone who finished behind Messi and Ronaldo. The way I see it that leaves us with 2 options.

Martinez. He came from sunny Portugal, to play at white Hart Lane.

This guy's record in Portugal is almost as good as Soldados in Spain. And only 28!

Snap him up.

Always rated him, think he would do well over here but this article is pure speculation and probably fabrication.

Doesn't the article say 20 million striker, not we are paying 20 million for him?

even with falcao unfit he wasn't trusted to lead the line for colombia at the world cup, his all-round play isn't good enough. the club aren't going to spend 20m on a soon-to-be 29 year old striker when we have harry kane, especially after what happened with soldado. nonsense story.
