Tottenham Hotspur’s players will receive a £2 million bonus to share between them as a reward for qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Proportion of it should go to fans who experienced problems getting into the stadium in Wednesday. Other than that, well deserved, bonuses are what keeps our players at the club.

They deserve it after getting out of that group as potential winners with 2 games spare.

This is how all footballers should be paid, for actually achieving something. OK, they haven't won anything yet, but qualifying for the next round and to be top of that group at this stage is an achievement for our club.

It's not a new thing is it, i recall similar news when we first qualified for the CL (when Bentley shrunk Redknapp's favourite suit) and again when we qualified from that group after being written off after the draw.

Fairly sure most clubs have some sort of bonus scheme so quite why we're worth a headline i've no idea other than stinky mc klick bait.
