Transfer window upon transfer window we hear the exact same thing, and time and again we still open the purse if the right player comes along. There are going to be players going out who will draw in a fair bit this summer, but I'd suspect we'd have the money whether we sell or not.

What club (Apart from Chelsea and Man City) are going to start a transfer window saying, "Yea we've got £50m to spend?". We get linked to every man and his dog during transfer windows, so makes sense to play down our finances so people don't stick up prices. I think people are completely over blowing the 'We need to sell to buy' statements.

I think harry is going to act fast. Someone like owen or one of the players from boro or toon. To be honest when they wake up in the morning the first phone call 75% of them will make will be to there agent saying "can you knick me a move to a prem team?" I just hope one of those players wont be Downing.

Alot of SC'ers want tuncay, i rate him but not sure if he can take us to that next level?? Martins could be handy.

I'm hoping Harry buys players we need and not just good players who become available. Owen's a good player but not needed when we have Keane and Defoe, Glen Johnson's had a great season but we have Hutton and Corluka.

This summer we need to buy to fill our weaknesses and not just invest in good players or players with potential regardless of their position.

I just think we need a serious target man in the Luca Toni mould. I reckon Bayern are in disaray, and would sell if the price was right. if they want tom hudd like it has been reported, there is our bait to go out and get him.

If we sold Bentley, Bale, Bent, Pavlyuchenko, Boateng, Chimbonda and Gunter we should have more than enough. I wasn't impressed with Redknapp's apointment at the time but after what has happened this season if he says he needs £30 million to do the business I'd be sorely tempted to get it to him sharpish.

In All fairness, the only players we need to sell are the fringe like gilberto and rocha
and the money can be scraped up, i think there should sstill be money after the stadium

£30m were do we get it... 24-05-2009 10:54 PM Stelladrinker That was one of the worst posts ever! Talking ahbout selling Dawson and possibly buying Kaboul or Zampra back or Viduka? You're an idiot..

dawson deseerves first team footy elsewhere. zamora would be a good hardworking squad player. viduka would be a bargain and very experienced.

id love jonas and martins.

not gonna happen though

Why would you love Martins? The guy is average, all pace and no brain or finishing. The only reason to buy him was that he was a bit of a bogey player, and seemed to have his one good game a season against us, but that don't matter now he is a Championship player.

martins is no better than what we have, no thanks.

gutierrez looks ok but if he cant get in a shit relegated newcastle side there's not much hope for him at spurs

the only player id take from newcastle would be viduka for 2million on a low wage as 4th or 5th choice

Viduka is old and fat and overpaid, no thanks, Martins is about 48 and Owen is an injury prone has been, only player I would want out of Newcastle is Bassong and maybe Taylor if Dawson wanted out as he would be a good replacement for Dawson but other than that no deal mr banker

I reckon buying Gutierrez would be a good option?

Argentinian international player, amazing work rate and quite a technical player. Could play him out on the left and act as cover for Lennon next season on the right (assuming Bentley is sold.. which is likely).

Also.. what about Diego from Werder Bremen? They finished mid table, lost in the final.. not really going anywhere.. might like a move to the prem?

what are your thoughts
