£50 million? FFS. To think people get paid a very high salary to write this shit.

£26 million and his wages. That's a whole lot more realistic. Especially as the wages will probably come down to a more realistic value as well.

it's not 50m it's 26 million plus wages. how come we don't always refer to xfer price plus wages? The press wanted a big number. dont fall into that

no way he gets paid 160 anyway. I'm sure gerrard and torres would be fine with that. no they would not

lets examine the 'facts'

26m says who? it will be less
160k a week says who? it will be less.

and he likely wont go from MU to pool anyway for the same reasons we sholdnt have sold berbs.

the correct headline should be 'spurs yawn as numebrs tossed around by someone who will almost certainly be wrong hit silly press on a slow news day"

ffs

lol. The silly season is well and truly apon us.

Do you really think that clubs enter negociations by saying they are "willing" to pay £50m but as a opening bid we will offer 26m.

Hmmm.... welll if you are willing to pay £50m, then why would we accept a bid £26m

Secondly, £160k a week. yeah right

£26m + £8.3 doesnt come to £50m. £50m is just a number they plucked out the air

cant believe we ever thought £18m would be enough to buy him.........

some people obviously have trouble reading the fee was £26m with wages taking it to £50m.

if you believe any of it..... which I dont.

It is a well known fact that LFC have to change bankers this summer with RBS saying they wont continue to support the loans of Hicks and Gillette ...... so whilst it is possible they could borrow signficantly more funds as part of a re negotiations I think their first priority will be to focus on getting re financing for the existing debt before adding to it

Liverpool = £50 million bid

So who's being sold to fund this ridiculous made up paper drival, Gerrard and Torres might just be enough to gather the funds together.

Seriousley, wipe my ass with this paper to add to the shit already on it.

He's not worth £26m or £160,000 a week ridiculously over priced. That crook Johabichin (sp) is a joke!

Think he'd do well with Torres. Let them splash out on Tevez so we can get Barry.

I actually think £18m is a fair fee from our part. Anything above that and we might aswell look elswhere. We could do with a number 9 anyway and theres a few top quality ones who i'm sure we could get for £18m.

50m? It's 26m + a shitload in wages ffs. If we're willing to bid 18m to get him we'd also rise to probably double that over three years of wages for him.

Silly season indeed.

If I was looking for a raging bull type striker,I think I would prefer the Hulk from Porto.

Plucked out of the air via the crazy method of adding up ;-)

£26m + 3*£8.3m = £26m transfer + £24m wages over 3 years = £50m

£26m + £24.9m wages over 3 years = £50.9m actually

Absolutely superb player , worth 26m signing fee and 8.3m wages if he pushed us through the glass ceiling .

No club with any sense will entertain Tevez whilst Jaroobchian remains his handler .

Tevez would have the same problems at Liverpool as he does at Man Utd unless Rafa drastcially changes his formation.

Maybe, but he would be pretty well suited to Kuyt's position. He is similar to him, just with a more ball skills and a bit more pace.
