Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with a move for West Ham United midfielder Nigel Reo Coker.

The Hammers skipper is unsettled at Upton Park after feeling that he has been made a scapegoat for the sacking of Alan Pardew, but is reluctant to ask for a transfer.

The Mail suggests that Spurs will make a move for the midfielder if the asking price is reduced to £5million.

Thankfully, the report is in the Daily Mail. Therefore it's BS and I won't waste my time replying to this obvious piece of newspaper trash.

    Oh crap....

I really rate him as a player, good 2 way midfielder, young and english, but I dont think we need him now. And I dont think west ham will sell him for 5 mil. All we need now is a LEFT WINGER, a really good one not just an average player and if we dont found one, save the money for the summer.

"The midfielder, 22, did not play in the FA Cup win over Brighton but Curbishley rejected talk it was to avoid him being Cup-tied ahead of a possible move"

Obviously any bids for players will increase during the window, but those were offers made at the time i made the list. Latest being Spurs have offered nearer £6m for Gareth Bale and £4m for Ashley Young.

I would back this deal as I think that, while his career is certainly wavering at the moment, a change of club could get him right back on track. Only this time last year any rumour surrounding him wouldve included 10-14 million manure, the scum, and liverpool interested etc. He could be just the man to add the bite to our midfield, plus some away leadership. I'd have him over Jenas any day. He is similer to Zokora but him, the Kaiser and R-C could form a first rate 3 fighting for 2 positions.

Don't want him. A pampered prick who quite clearly doesn't give a shit about West Ham's current situation and is happy to sit on his fat new contract and drive his Bentley around. Before anyone says all players are like that, they aren't, an why would we want tobring a guy in who we know is like that and will simply not try when the going gets tough
  9. striebs
I'm not asking for choirboys but until we played them I didn't realise what a dirty little player he is .

    One Left winger please .

so we should sell jenas, ghaly and tainio? we don't need any more CMs.
  11. TheBaker
I'd take him. He's better than Ghaly, Tainio, Murphy and Davids.
  12. MidnightCaller
Only if we get him for 5 million

Would take him, at 5 million, could sell Ghaly, Tainio, Murphy and Davids, currently these lot are not good enough or past it. We could also invest in a good left winger Matt Taylor, as Bale is on his way to Man U now. Do like Lee, but feel he is not a left sided player and we do need a natural left side player, and use Lee as back up for rightback, right winger and maybe left winger.

He was superb last season and the Spam have been a good feeder club for us to this point so maybe its a good sign, i read somewhere that he's being blamed for Pardews sacking and he dosnt feel comfortable within the club now and its got nothing to do with him being "A pampered prick who quite clearly doesn't give a shit about West Ham's current situation" (sigh). I agree he's better than Ghaly, Davids, TT and Murphy and maybe a move away would help him to rediscover the form of last season which prompted Manure to show an interest but he's not the priority player/s we need, 1 quality LW and 1 quality CB is a must before the end of Jan if were going to remain in the cups, especialy Europe. I hear were after Haim from Bolton, he would do nicely along with Barry but the latter isnt going to happen so maybe Ashley young down the left instead. Out of all the speculation that surounds us in the windows I have a strong feeling he (young) will be one of those who join us in January.
I also think that we should start putting our money where our mouths are regarding transfers, if 8mil couldnt buy Curtis Davis last season what makes us think 5 will get him now? its a bugbear of mine that we always seem to do business on the last day of the window and end up paying what they wanted anyway, lets identify who we need and buy them asap and i dont mean be daft about it by being held to randsom and throwing stupid money at clubs, if the price is to big then leave it, dont fk about for 4 weeks haggling and end up paying their valuation anyway, thats 4 weeks the player could have gotten to know us and the way we do things at the Mighty Spurs.

imo i think reo-coker is not good enough for spurs :-|

That's "Ben Haim". "Ben" means "son of", much as "McTaggart" means "son of Taggart".

His first name is "Tal". Surname is "Ben Haim".

Same principle with Hatem Ben Arfa - although one is Israeli and the other is of Arabic extraction, the languages are very similar.
  16. pierreb
David, that explains where Ben Thatcher came from.

    Verrry nice.
