£8m for Ronaldinho - should we be interested?

AC Milan have set a price of £8m for Ronaldinho. I haven't seen him play much (at all) recently, but with Harrys record of rejuvenating players who are seemingly past their peek, could it be worth a go?

Incidently, with all the goings on at Inter, would a cheeky bid for Eto'o be worth a go?

I would love to see him at the lane but he isn't the type of player we need or are looking for

Not really. IMO. I mean seriously where would he fit? I don't think there's any need to break up our Lennon/Bale duo on the wings. the main areas that should be addressed for now is the striker area and central midfield. Am not too bothered about much else until the summer at least.

Lazy bastard without the ball can you imagine having to have played the last two games with him on the pitch?? You would be down to nine men.

To add quality cover and competition to that area of the squad and maybe teach them a thing or two.

For that price, I don't think he would make us weaker. GDS would be happy!

My head tells me that we should avoid this type high wage end of the career signing, however my heart simple screams SIGN HIM UP!! Unplayable in his years at Barca and he could flip flap his way into our hearts in about 20 minutes game time.

However, it'd probably be wise not to touch him with a shitty stick.

We always speak of Harry's abilities to ressurect. But remember, the player must want it. And it would seem to me that Ronny doesn't. He still seems to want to party into obscurity.

But I would think he would want wages we couldn't touch

To understudy vdV at #10 or Bale at LM?

If we could get him as an understudy for vdv, it would be pretty good business. Especially if he can do the same job when Rafa is out or when we need to switch things around. Ronaldinho, in a counter attacking line-up like ours, could work well.

If we did and if he did, then the combined 16m for those two would be money very well spent.

I'd be a lot more excited about a world class centre forward though.

Of course!!!!

He can play VDV role.

If VDV has proven one thing: He can score in almost every position he played.

He scored on the right (where he came in often)

On the left. Behind the striker etc etc.

----------VDV--------------
--------------Ronnie--------

Would be sex.

Hell perhaps Ron will be better up front.

Hmmm, £8million quid on a Brazilian legend - sounds great on paper but look a bit closely then I just see problems - problems we don't need at this moment.

However without trying to be too contradictory, it could be a masterstroke that invigorates a player with immense talent and one that even looking pessimistically would generate huge interest in our club worldwide.

This could be a Jay Jay Okocha transfer - a maverick player who lights up the league or could easily be another Robinho. But from what our young squad could learn off a player like Ronaldinho could be invaluable.

In all seriousness though, for £8million, if the wages were right then it could be a brilliant transfer on many levels. Where we would fit him in is a whole other issue!

I think I've just convinced myself in the space of a post!

The circle is now complete! Gio starts out emulating Ronaldinho at Barcelona, indulging in his spice boy lifestyle, and now the former master Ronaldinho follows his protege to Spurs. Then, like his erstwhile protege, fails to make our bench and then goes out on loan to Ipswich town next season to be berated by Roy Keane.

Well, If hes fit and at his best he is that "Special Player". It's unthinkable that now we would say no as we have better, 5 years ago Ronaldinho being linked to Tottenham would have got dicks wet and moist all over the country, Shows how far we have come when some don't want him.

£8 million Euros, whats that in £££££s, Keane off for around £6 million and Ronaldinho in for around the same price, Depending on his wage demands, No brainer, A gamble worth taking, If Harry did get him anywhere near his best with the team we have it could be beautiful football indeed.

No-one can deny his talent, despite him being inconsistent in the last 3-4 years. Could be worth a gamble but probably couldnt physically hack it in the PL I fear.

Also likely to want Mega, Mega Wages.

I would go batshit for Eto'o.

We would make 8 million euros in overseas shirt sales and free publicity.

I think he would score for fun given a forward role.

His wages: Now they WILL make a dent.

Last season he had 45 games. 3 subs.

He scored 15 goals and got 16 assists.

Nearly all in the league.
