£8m for Ronaldinho - should we be interested?

On a serious note, we should sign the ugly fecker. his record at Milan is good. Harry would take care of him. It would also do us the world of good in the publicity stakes too.

Bale, VDV and Ronny? Those strange dated Gillette "soccer" specials on random channels/times about world football in general will implode.

Seeing as we don't have a centre forward who matches our midfield anyway, maybe we could sign this guy and just do the whole 3-6-0 thing and just have Ronaldinho playing instead of any of our current strikers.

I half wanted to do that now. In the Lineup thread I was going to put:

--------------VDV----------------
Bale--Modric--JJ---Palacios-Lennon

Knowing full well VDV would probably be in the midfield mix.

Reason being, there were a lot of people asking Crouch or Pav. And IMO neither have done enough to justify selection.

It's been a while since JJ has stretched his legs as an out and out AM.

I didn't post it because Crouch or Pav are more than capable of scoring against Fulham, and then how are people going to TOG?

Basically I think pushing Bale and Lennon further forward will get us more goals than a Pav or a Crouch. And to do that we need to pack the midfield.

Ultimately I want that centre forward who matches up to our midfield, but I actually see the logic in this system while one eludes us if we manage to sign an attacking midfielder of the required level of genius.

Ronaldinho
VDV
Bale Modric Jenas Lennon

I think that's taking football purism to a whole new level so I'll be quiet now.

As I can't post ITK as I'm banned I'll put it here for the mods to pick up, Madridspur saying Lassana Diarra to Spurs for £15 million and could happen quick.

4-4-2-0 could work. Weve won our last 2 games playing 4-4-1-0 so why not?

....VDV...Ronny

Bale..Mod..TH...Lennon

This has been a persistent rumour and I can't quite make my mind up whether I would like Diarra or not - would he really improve on an in form Palacios?

Put it this way, Harry has worked with both and seen both train day in day out over a period of time. IF he decides Diarra is a significant upgrand on Wilson I will go with his decision.

I'll bet Marca's saying something pretty similar.

I gave up doing the ITK League Tables 2-3 windows back, but MadridSpur's record didn't exactly inspire confidence; an awful lot of what he posts bears a striking similarity to Spanish press stories, and the Spanish football press makes the likes of the Mirror and NOTW seem eminently trustworthy.

In regards to Diarra it wouldn't suprise me if we are looking to tie this up ASAP with Utd being linked of late.

Him and a top notch forward and we're away.

Never been that convinced by him, to be honest—good, from what I saw of him when he was with Pompey, but that (i.e., a big upgrade on Palacios/Hudd) good? I'm not at all sure. There's also the suspicion that he's a whiny little bitch.

If Harry wants him, fine.

Closer to fact than suspicion, isn't it??

Not meaning to ITK bash, in your opinion (seeing as you have studying the itk's for some time) are there any with genuine sources at the club who are giving us 'real' itk or are the pretty much all either winding us up or repeating hear say or false info they are told?

When I mean real ITK I mean a genuine link that provides consistent information, which is true regardless of if it comes to be or not?

And in your opinion which of the ITK's if any are the most likely to have genuine information when they post it?

There are a few, and then some that have sources but not necessarily at the club.

...Its difficult to measure in my opinion. Everyone on here is aware of exactly how I get my infomation, and yet the latest I got was that "Scott Parker will definately sign for us". I personally dont see it happening even though I have been told otherwise from the top table. But thats not to say that it wasn't the 100% true assumption at the time?

So how can I judge anybody else on that basis?
