Of course and so will everyone else including Levy. Pointless article really, as they've nothing else to say.Well, I don't think that's massively controversial, I'm sure many on here will have a similar view. And in the long term doing the first makes winning the second on a regular basis more likely.
I'm on the fence as to which I'd prefer. I want that day of glory, but I don't want to be thinking back to Lloris lifting the Cup while I'm watching us play Botev Plovdiv on a ploughed field at 5.30pm one Thursday night.
Can we have both? I'll take both.
You’re completely correct of course, but that doesn’t change the fact that I’m pretty sure Jamie O’Hara has absolutely zero inside insight on the matter and is therefore just spouting off as usual. I liked O’Hara as a player as a home grown guy who made the most of his ability but my god he’s a crap punditWell, I don't think that's massively controversial, I'm sure many on here will have a similar view. The argument about money vs the winning mentality of winning a trophy has been around the forum forever. The counter argument is that winning a major trophy would help with instilling confidence and winning mentality in the squad, which could help us kick on to the next level.
CL qualification would definitely be a bigger boost to recruitment that an FA Cup win though (increased draw & finances).
It's a shame that the prize money for domestic cups is so negligible compared to qualifying for the group stages of the CL. Before that became the case, there was more incentive for teams to chase titles than 4th place, which imo can only be better for fans. The argument about money vs the winning mentality of winning a trophy has been around the forum forever.
I'll always be of the opinion that the additional money and pull of being able to offer CL football will help us be successful more than winning a domestic cup.
