He nailed his colours to the mast when he went to Anzhi for the money. He'll be in his element at Chelsea and his comments show that he already has the necessary lack of class to fit right in (probably on the bench).

Yep, I think Spurs dodged a bullet here,.... Better in everyway? For him that just means money,... so be it, mourinho probably just wanted to prevent us from having him.... Serie A clubs used to do that all the time - buy up players with no intention of starting them in order to prevent competion from other clubs,... we'll see if he plays more than Marin did... :mask:

Willian did actually not say

It is what those in the trade call a lie (something John Cross and the Mirror know a lot about)
http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/t...ian-calling-chelsea-a-better-club-than-spurs/
Exfuckingactly

And what some people aren't aware of is that Chelsea enquired about Willian in every one of the last two or three transfer windows.

From your linkypoo

Willian actually said the following on rejecting Tottenham for Chelsea: “It is part of the negotiations. I always wanted to play for Chelsea, especially under Mister Mourinho, who is the best in the world at what he does. When I have been in London, I came to watch their games. So, I am more than happy to have arrived there.”

The Brazilian schemer, who is tipped to start for Chelsea at Everton on Saturday by Globoesporte, also said: “Chelsea arrived with an offer, and everyone knew of my desire to play for the club since I was at Shakhtar. I did not even have to think twice. The two presidents (Kerimov and Roman Abramovich) are friends, that also helped. Brazilians at Chelsea also called me, especially David Luiz, who told me to come soon. I was also very happy to have them around. Certainly this will help me a lot.”

But having exposed the lie for what it is, i'll bet 17 testicles that people will still call him on it. Basically, it's sour grapes. Some people won't forgive him for choosing them over us and this 'lie' is exactly what they wanted to hear.

John Cross? A joke of a 'journalist'.

the papers are going to pump this one all season, I was away when the transfer happened so missed any fall out but I never quite got what the fuss was about with him, maybe if he was an actual Brazilian international I'd be more impressed, after all we've already got two of them.
Not sure we need to get too excited about a Chelsea squad player.

Yep. People want to convince themselves that they're glad he's not here and we dodged a bullet.

It's like ITK and transfer spec: if they want to believe it then they do, if they don't then they won't.

The Mirror:

Brazilian star Willian last night claimed he always wanted to go to Chelsea - because they are a “better club” than Tottenham.
Willian joined the Blues in a big money move from Anzhi Makhachkala after a last minute change of heart as he had already had a medical at Spurs.
But Willian, in an interview with Brazilian paper Globoesporte, said: “I always wanted to go to Chelsea. Chelsea presented an offer and it was always my dream to go there.
“Chelsea is a better club than Tottenham in every aspect. I have spoken with my fellow Brazilians at the club, especially David Luiz. I am also happy to play for Jose Mourinho. That was definitive in my decision.”

I'm glad this little 4ft gobshite isn't at our club. He's clearly morally bankrupt. This is very disrespectful towards AVB, who chased him for over a year, disrespectful to the club who were prepared to smash their transfer record for paying his high wages, and disrespectful to the fans who would've been singing his name if the transfer had gone through.

An over priced mercenary, who can't get in the Brazil squad and whose goals and assists record is actually very poor. Lamela has the potential to be ten times the player this lowly scum is. He will now hopefully miss out on a place in the Brazil World Cup squad. I don't think he's pissed off another clubs fans before, so this little shit who is built like a 12 year old - can be sure of a reception at the Lane like he's never had before.

So he has spoken to his fellow Brazilians has he.......

He will wish that he had spoken to Sandro on the evening of the 28th September.

I'm sure he will be able to show him exactly what class is!!

Regardless of what he actually said, he's perfectly free to do so. Meh.

Still sad for Andre that he didn't get his BFF in as he clearly wanted but otherwise I don't care about the player in question one iota. As much of a success as he'll be at the chavs, I'm looking forward to watching Lamela and Eriksen play for us.

*smug mode*

I think that in the next 4 yrs, it's not out of the question for Lamela (I'd day it's a certainty he'll be next level by then actually) or Eriksen to be as good as Willian is at 25, if not sooner.

I'm not going to say it isn't a shame, he's a player AVB obviously likes a lot and we'll see why when he plays for the chavs but we've hardly been left with dregs.

Journalists should have a licensing system so they can have it revoked and this John cross **** can suffer as a homeless junkie in a council estate in Peckham, where he gets pimped out as a male-on-male prostitute for burly eastern european bodybuilding tourists who leave him battered and bruised after each session and unable to control his own bowel movements.
