Cant say he will be missed, what was Comolli thinking paying all that money for him, but at least with him gone hopefully that'll make room for some midfiedlers who can get us out of the mess we are in

When you think that Villa paid £5mill for Sidwell it makes you wonder just why we signed KPB

not a rumour, a fact, Dortmund have confirmed it
Borussia Dortmund have announced the loan signing of Tottenham midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng.

Former Germany Under-21 international Boateng, nicknamed “The Prince of the Ghetto”, never imposed himself at White Hart Lane, and his departure will not be a surprise to Spurs fans.

The 21-year-old is on his way to Spain, where he will be welcomed by his new coach Michael Zorc, who is currently preparing his team for the second part to the Bundesliga season.

An option for a permanent move has been added to the deal, with Boateng trying to revive his career after hardly figuring in the Spurs first XI.

Zorc told the club’s official website about former Hertha Berlin starlet Boateng: “We have taken him on a six-month loan until the end of the season.

“We expect his arrival tonight (Sunday) in Malaga, and he will practice with the team for the first time on Monday.

“We want to watch him first (before taking a decision regarding a permanent move) because he has been going through a difficult period.”

Unlikely Dortmund will pay any more than 3m for him, if they even want him next season, and more likely less than 2m. A loan was originally proposed last summer, with Stuttgart and Dortmund both interested, but not enough to pay a fee. Expect more than 2 or 3 others to follow.

Yea I think that alot of the good work done under Arneson in terms of transfer (which gave us good squad depth as well as balance and first team quality) was largely undone by numerous poor signings from Commoli, yes he got the odd transfer right (Berbatov) but mostly he unbalanced the team/squad by buying numerous players in postions we didnt need whilst not addressing our problem areas.

All too often his signings were no where near good enough (even though we were playing top dollar for them) I can only hope that the players he brought in to our youth set up go on to be a success and offer a silver lining to what was a otherwise a dismal era as our DOF (in my opinion of course)

Now we have one man in charge of these things, lets hope he is able to use this window and the summer to mould the team/squad in his own image and that it becomes a successful unit (lord willing)

Never understood why we brought this player hardly played any games and was not rated by 2 previous managers our paying policy was a complete joke.

Stevie Wonder could have seen the talent of Dimitar Berbatov, one look at his stats at Leverkusen and it was only a matter of time before he moved on. Comolli just acted very quickly and it worked out.

Boateng never ever played well for us, didnt get many chances either. Good riddance really

So much for Harry saying that- if we can't make a player of this kid, then we are not doing our job properly!

Hopefully we won't get shafted on his sale price.

In all likeliness Dortmund is the shop window for his departure in the Summer as we really can not afford to take the risk putting him in the team at the moment. I expect Taraat......Tabaaa....Taras.....Adel to be next out.
