If you really cannot see that then that confirms a lot.

What am I not seeing Shizzle ? Livermore's a water carrier not a play maker.

How many times do you see Parker do the between the lines threaded balls into feet?
How many progressive passes do you see go by whilst parker is waiting for the fairground ride to stop?

I can see 2 sometimes 3 passes that parker will miss dwelling on the ball and when he takes too long to think and the space is then closed. Where as it's as clear as day (to me at least) that Livermore spots the pass and can fizz it between the lines into feet, it's a skill that a few of ours have which often gets overlooked, Benny starts many attacks with his fizzed low balls which take players out the game and lead us on to many an attack, yet some see someone like Baines as a better passer.

I do think Parker does hang onto the ball a bit long at times whereas Lives will move it on. However they are both 'careful' passers not risking too much and taking the percentage option rather than the trickier one. Couldn't see huge amounts of difference in bringing Lives on to be fair and incisive he is not.

    Friedel-6
    Walker-6
    King-5
Kaboul-4 I've deducted points because he took poor options late on
    BAE-6
    Modric-7
    Parker-7
    Sandro-7
    Bale-7
Defoe-5 Same old JD forces his way into the team then isn't very good.
    Barndoor-2
    VDV-6
    Saha-5
    Livermore-6
I'd say we totally won the midfield battle forcing Everton to make subs but our strikers weren't up to it today.
Our defenders didn't have too much to do but didn't do it very well.

Sandro MOTM for me. Did a solid job in the middle of the park. Saha and VDV close but not on long enough. Both had very good impacts on the game.

Everything has been said; we know the problems of arry's 442. Rafa should have started. Oh well, we looked decent in the last thirty minutes. We probably deserved a point. Everton were probably the niggliest team I've seen against us. Didn't like their approach. They got away with a lot of little nudges, pulls and kicks; and went down very easily themselves (tough one minute, wimps the next). Wouldn't fancy Moyes as our manager with that style - however effective it is.
Our corners and free kicks are getting worse; we really never look likely to score. Has Kaboul ever scored a free kick for us? He really needs to stop taking them.

    Friedel 8
    Walker 6
    King 6
    Kaboul 5.5
    BAE 6
    Parker 6
    Sandro 6.5
    Modric 6
    Bale 6
    Adebayor 4
    Defoe 5

    How frustrating is it!

it's either into the wall or more often than not row Z, so at best it injures one of their players at worst it wastes time while the ball boy fetches it.

My dad said to me "he obviously scores them in training" maybe so, under little pressure with a wall not wanting to get hurt, but time to put the Kaboul freekicks into room 101...

Possibly the worst tactical game Harry was had. Fucking atrocious. 442 away from home against a team with a 3 man central midfield, who were unbeaten in 8 before last night. Bale has got to play on the left, VDV had to start. That lineup cost us the game before the kick-off.

Were sinking fast and the players look like they've hit the wall. Redknapp still hasn't thought of an alternative way for us to play IMO and hasnt learned when to change tactics during games quickly enough.

Its not the end of the world though and Tottenham have came along progressively well during the Levy era. What does annoy me to the back teeth is why we till haven't the mental strength in games...why is that?

Friedel-7 Couple of good saves but could not save Jelavic passing effort into the back of the net. Wasn't helped by those in front of him, Jelavic should never of had so much space...criminal.

Walker-6 Steady in defence but I don't know what's happened to his forward play with Bale playing and cutting in field it was perfect for Walker to support. Still a promising talent and good to have about.

Kaboul-6 Should stay clear of free-kicks. Might have been slightly at fault for Everton's goal, he got beat by skill which you can't really blame.

    King-7 Ok.

Assou-7 I can't remember a better footballing left back. Real quality on the ball.

Bale-6 Off form and playing right wing didn't help, again so left footed.

Sandro-6 Passing needs to improve quickly.

Parker-7 Delightful through ball for Defoe Looked well tried and I can understand why because the rest of the Tottenham players around him are lazy fuckers off the ball.

Modric-5 Hasn't been playing well. You'd expect a player of Modric's class could swing these sort of games in our favour, looks like he doesn't give a fuck but in some cases like today IMO the tactics of Redknapp has a lot to do with it.

Adebayor- 4 Has been shockingly POOR. In fact I'm totally surprised at what I've been seeing from Adebayor. Adebayor's first touch has been shocking. His strength off the balls been weak Crouch like. Most worrying he doesn't seem to be having enough efforts on goal or getting into positions to score...( I can now understand what some Arsenal fans were saying about Adebayor sorry but performance of latehis not worth the wages his asking for 170K a week. Needs a few sessions in the gym)

Defoe-7 Efforts on goal at least you'd expect that from strikers. General play off the balls better too. Looked more dangerous in front of goal than Ade.

    Subs; Saha-6 Should have scored.

Redknapp-5 Tactics are very questionable IMO should have took Adebayor off quicker. 4231 would have been better.

I thought Walker did well along with Parker and Sandro. Defoe and Saha looked lively and Van der Vaart's distribution was excellent.

Adebayor was poor and Bale was ineffectual.

Kaboul made one mistake all game and it proved costly but other than that I thought he played well.

I know we lost but it is difficult to be critical of individuals when the team played well overall. I am sometimes amazed at how players can perform well and get ratings of 4/10 because their side lost when had another member of their team scored to equalize or win they would have received far higher. Remember you are rating the performance not the result otherwise what's the point?

Surprised to see Sandro leading as MOM as I thought he was all over the place.
Wayward passing and tackling at times.(6)
Parker played better than of late and made some good runs. (8)
Saha (7) and Van (7) played well when they came on, a pity they didn't start.
    Ekotto(7) had another good game.

Friedel – 7 – could do nothing about the goal, was solid as ever, couple of decent saves thrown in for good measure.

Walker – 7.5 – Was willing to get forward when he could, wasn’t helped much with his defensive roles. MOTM for me.

Kaboul – 6 – A mistake from him lead to us losing the game, was strong before and after that though.

King – 6 – Didn’t really have to do much, was a fairly straight forward game for him

BAE – 7 – With Modric drifting into the middle most of the time, he had the left pretty much to himself, was always on hand to provide an option.

Bale – 3 – Poor, weak in every tackle, didn’t fancy anything when playing on the right, picked up a bit when he moved over. Just wish he’d stop thinking he was Ronaldo, grow some balls and get on with it.

    Sandro – 7 – Bossed the midfield

Parker – 7 – Found space in the middle, was limited with options though. Just wish he’d have a pop at goal once in a while

Modric – 6 – drifted inside too much, created a bit of congestion, passing wasn’t the best.

Adebayor – 4 – Really poor, looked like he couldn’t be bothered, poor touch, didn’t link up at all.

Defoe – 5 – Worked hard trying to find space, but wandered off-side far too many times.

VdV – 6 – Looked a better side when he came on. Probably should’ve started with him

Saha – 7 – Created a couple of chances, unlucky to hit the post, again, probably should’ve started

Livermore – 5 – Can only assume Parker ran out of legs, did ok, no more, no less

Redknapp – Making some strange picks at the moment, is he trying to be too clever? It wasn’t hard to see why we were shocking in the first half, and why we picked up in the second. Sometimes he needs to hold his hands up and say “I got it wrong

But sometimes that's because he turns one way and then the other looking for someone to show for ball.

In that game saturday he saw more ball and made more passes than anyone on our team. Parker 59/66 Modric 52/63. Modric played the majority of that game as a third cm as well, not as a left midfield or wide player.10 of Modric's passes were from wide left area, 42 from elsewhere.

First half Modric gave the ball away, or got caught in possession several times, mostly when inside. Parker less so.

Now you mention it BC, I remember at the time thinking...its the most I've seen Modric lose the ball or give it away.

Your stats back up the impression I had about Parker, who I don't rate as highly as some but made MOM against Everton.
One of his weaknesses is that he doesn't always see a pass as quickly as he might and holds onto the ball too long.
Or at the other end of the spectrum he passes it straight back to no good purpose.

we have to be flexible mid-matches.

the ability to spot a need to, and switch to a 4-3-3 against everton would have been invaluable. even for 5 mins just to see.
