Really ? Livermore is quick to spot a pass ? Can you give me some evidence of this ? I don't think he's any quicker to see a pass than Parker. Neither are exactly Iniesta are they ?
If you really cannot see that then that confirms a lot.
I do think Parker does hang onto the ball a bit long at times whereas Lives will move it on. However they are both 'careful' passers not risking too much and taking the percentage option rather than the trickier one. Couldn't see huge amounts of difference in bringing Lives on to be fair and incisive he is not.
Everything has been said; we know the problems of arry's 442. Rafa should have started. Oh well, we looked decent in the last thirty minutes. We probably deserved a point. Everton were probably the niggliest team I've seen against us. Didn't like their approach. They got away with a lot of little nudges, pulls and kicks; and went down very easily themselves (tough one minute, wimps the next). Wouldn't fancy Moyes as our manager with that style - however effective it is.
Our corners and free kicks are getting worse; we really never look likely to score. Has Kaboul ever scored a free kick for us? He really needs to stop taking them.

parker's like a spinning top at times.
Your stats back up the impression I had about Parker, who I don't rate as highly as some but made MOM against Everton. But sometimes that's because he turns one way and then the other looking for someone to show for ball.
In that game saturday he saw more ball and made more passes than anyone on our team. Parker 59/66 Modric 52/63. Modric played the majority of that game as a third cm as well, not as a left midfield or wide player.10 of Modric's passes were from wide left area, 42 from elsewhere.
First half Modric gave the ball away, or got caught in possession several times, mostly when inside. Parker less so.
