VDV was fantastic today, closely followed by Parker, Kaboul and Bale. Thought Sandro was looking close to his old self too.

They all deserve an 8 but Friedel a 9 as his fantastic save was what kept us in the game, allowing us to push on and win a very toughly fought game.

Just a few points;

- Sandro would be the perfect box-to-box midfielder if he had a final ball.
- Bale was incredible... because he stuck to the left for the most part.
- Parker needs to learn to put his foot in from time to time.
- Kaboul and Gallas is the way forward in the league.
- Fucking great to have Lennon back. Gives us an incredible amount of interchangable options up front.
- Apart from a few games at Liverpool, how the fuck has Friedel never played for a top-4 team?

Friedel - 7 made some great saves

Walker - 6 grew into game after a shaky start

Kaboul - 7.5 brilliant

Gallas - 6.5 Made a mistake early in the game, but was solid

Assou-Ekotto - 6.5 Possibly could of done better for their goal, solid

Van Der Vaart - 7 creative, great goal

Sandro - 6.5 hints of his old self, good shift

Parker - 6.5 swept up well, and helped win the midfield battle

Modric - 6.5 kept the ball ticking, should of done better with his shots

Bale - 7.5 at his best today, has had a very good season actually Adebayor - 7 Took the goals very well

SUBS:

Lennon - 7 was a threat, made a goal, and if Modric did better with it could of been two.

Livermore - 6 made a mistake, but made up for it with a great tackle

Rose - N/A

I think people are being harsh on Modric. He put himself about and managed to get into excellent positions for those chances. Sure, he could have done much better with his shots but we all know that was not his strongest points.

He still kept out engine running most times and the first goal came from his peach of a pass to Bale that got things going. All in all, a decent match and effort from our midfield maestro.

Friedel - 7.5 - Fantastic save from Sigurdsson

Walker - 7 - Good game

Kaboul - 8 - Lots of important blocks today

Gallas - 7.5 - Worked well with Kaboul.

Assou-Ekotto - 7 - Not as involved going forward as he has been lately.

Van Der Vaart - 8.5 - Worked very hard, great goal.

Sandro - 7 - Think he's still got a way to go until he's back to his best. Still seems a little bit slow at times with the ball.

Parker - 8.5 - Was everywhere, blocking, tackling, putting on pressure. Just a joy to watch him hound players around.

Modric - 6.5 - Needs to step it up. Since January I think he's been way below his best and he can't shoot for shit.

Bale - 9 - Great game from him

Adebayor - 8.5 - He worked his ass off all game, worked incredibly hard and scored two good headers. Great game.

SUBS:

Lennon - 7 - Great assist and so good to have him back again.
