Hello all,

I'm 1 of those fans whose not willing to blow £50 on a shirt that goes out of fashion in a year tbh. So if you're 1 of those fans who believes in paying that £50 and "contributing towards the club by paying the money for the shirt" then please go elsewhere!

So anyway, I currently have found the website thefootballshirt.com that although having mixed reviews, most are positive (yes i know they're faaaake ).

Now I was wondering if any1 bought Spurs shirts from them last season, as they don't have our new kits on there yet and was wondering when people bought their's from that site, to give an idea of when they'll put them up.... Oh and please say how good the shirt was!

If you know any other sites that are selling Spurs shirts on the cheap please send the link!!

Many thanks!!

I dont understand why people complain about the club changing the shirt after a year?

i dont think i own any items of clothing that i have had for over a year. Clothes generally last 6-9 months maximum (except coats). And £45 for a t-shirt, is not that bad, more than most, but i would usually pay £30 - £40 for a t-shirt, so its not rediculous.

My main concern... is what the hell is an adult doing buying / wearing a football shirt? I hope you are going to play football in it, or wear it to matches. There is no other time or place where an adult should be seen in a football shirt.

I got my 08/09 from Sports Direct just before the Scum game last season. Cost me £20 and it's real :D

Edit: sh*te, my mistake. I'd never buy that piss-stained POS.

For some of us £45 for a t-shirt every year is a f*cking rip-off. I expect clothes to last me years, not months, and I usually pay around a fiver for a t-shirt. Even a tenner for a thin bit of cotton is a stitch if you'll excuse the pun. Not everyone earns £50k a year you know. Hell, I'd be happy to earn £20k.

And as to your second point, I'll wear what the f*ck I want and when the f*ck I want and, unlike you, will not pass judgement on others based on what they wear. You could be dressed in a sequin covered tutu for all I care and, as much as it might cause me to chuckle, I wouldn't tell you that you shouldn't wear it outside of gay clubs.

Buying a fake shirt is just ripping off the club, though... (I know they're not exactly saints when it comes to pricing, but whatever)

If I'm going to buy a shirt, I'll buy it from the club and give them my money, rather than some knock-off crap scummers...

Ripping the club off or not, the fakes are never, eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever as good or often the same, as the official ones. I think the worst year for bootlegs in my memory was the last year of Thomson, with the revolting varicous-blue/yellow away kit, or perhaps the first year with Mansion. There were sooo many fakes floating about and you could spot them in a heartbeat; colours were slightly wrong, logo's were shifty or made from fuzzy felt etc.

I don't actually understand the point of owning a fake. You're either supporting your team or you're not. If you don't want to buy one, fair enough, wear an older shirt - retro is cool - you don't have to wear the latest shirt but it's a million times more satisfying to wander up the steps into the Park Lane wearing something genuine

Wearing this year's home kit is wrong and wearing a fake version is even wronger

have you not seen the adverts about the proceeds from knock off goods going to the Taliban, child slavery and smack dealers?

and you are also showing the world you don't mind that huge yellow trim which is morally even worse

hope you can sleep at night

Right you numpties obviously don't know enough about this site/my situation. I told you go to some place elsewhere remember

Basically the workers who make the kits in factories in Asia get ripped off by the clubs and kit makers and so work extra hours making these cheaper shirts to get more money, which obviously leads to a worse quality shirt. So Rocket I'm not giving money to the flamin' talliban :duh:

nightgoat/RSS I've read reviews from various forums found through google and they really aren't that bad, it's only noticeable if you look at the shirt close up (ie the badge stitching may be a bit off). Also the CLUB RIPS ME OFF I EARN ALL THOSE LOYALTY PTS go away on holiday so can't do it b4 the deadline and the points get wiped, I've contacted them but they are like robotic computers who will not go against the policy of the deadline :bang: £40 just to gurantee myself tickets is stupid on student money, where's the student discounts for tickets as well?! :violin:

This club rips fans off, saying this doesn't mean I don't love the club as much as you lot or that I'm not as good a supporter. So I'm gonna rip them off :)

If I was to play by the rules - £40 membership + £50+ shirt + £30 ticket = £120 for a shirt and a ticket to 1 match................... Eek :bs:

Rant over :)

Oh and BTW I'm getting the away kit not the home kit.. What idiot would spend a well earned £50+ on that?!?!?! Eek

I would like to point out that the quality of the puma kits we have had, in general, has been poor. Some have said the fakes have been a better quality than some of the kits we have had from them.

Oh sorry for disturbing your 'only post here if you agree with me' thread... Wouldn't be much of a forum if everyone did that...

Regardless of quality, a fake is still a fake... What have the people making/selling you an imitation done to deserve your money?

How long were you on holiday for ffs? I know it's stupid wiping loyalty points if you don't re-subscribe by a certain date, but you get several months to do so...

When I was a student I went to 2 games throughout the three years, then made up for it afterwards...

If I was to play by the rules - £40 membership + £50+ shirt + £30 ticket = £120 for a shirt and a ticket to 1 match

What 'rules' are they? If it frustrates you so much why don't you just sod the shirt and go to more games? It's not like people give you dirty looks for not wearing the most recent shirt... I've worn the same shirt for the past three seasons until buying this season's third shirt...

EDIT: Ha, I say that and now it works. Can't find this season's shirts though.

EDIT 2: And they only have Medium or Extra Large? :-|

I don't know if it is a sign of just how poor the Puma kits have been or how good some of the fakes are becoming. I got a fake home shirt last season from Thailand and it was better quality than my mates official shirt. Even the name and numbering on the back of my fake was better than the official one.
