1-0 win, with a hand

Would you take a 1-0 win next week in the following dubious circumstances?
  • A lucky deflection
  • An offside goal
  • From a corner that should have been a goal kick
  • After a Young Boys player gets incorrectly sent off
  • If one of our players scores with his hand/ after handing the ball
What do you think, would you be happy on Thursday in any of the scenarios above?

YES !!!

How we scored will soon be forgotten, the fact that we got through to the group stages of the CL will not.

Besides, we have had loads of dodgy goals scored against us - I wouldn't mind one going our way!

Of course. I think we're due a bit of luck if we need it. I don't think we'll need any luck though.

Everyone else seems to win that way, why the fuck can't we?!

If we get through I don't really care how damn dubious/lucky/unfair it is! CL and ££!

I dont give a shit how it happens, i just want it to happen!

This. Obviously I'd prefer us to win gloriously with a 4-0 all-star performance, but a dodgy 1-0 win would ultimately still lead to the same outcome.

If we get an early goal.. we should go on to score many more!

From what ive seen of them i dont think there strong enough to play a defensive game.. well i hope not!

I wouldn't be happy.

I was pretty unhappy we didn't come back to win on tuesday.

I won't be happy with less than a 3-0.

See, personally I'd feel uncomfortable in the last scenario. I haven't forgotten the Henry handball against Ireland and I'm not even Irish.

Damn right I would

Qualifying is all that matters - we've got time to find our form, but we MUST get into the group stages

Not 1 Spurs fan will be unhappy when we step out for the Champions League proper. No matter how we would've gotten there.

"The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It's nothing of the kind. The game is about glory. It's about doing things in style, with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom." - Danny Blanchflower, 1972.

Mostly if possible, but sometimes you can only win in an ugly manner.

I'd rather we win fair and square, as would everyone who's posted on this thread no doubt!

If we did happen to win by a "handball" or whatever, I wouldn't even think about it though. We'd be through, and that's all that would be on my mind.

I think, as someone else said, if we score early it shouldn't come to that anyway.
