I'm of Irish decent and support the Irish national team when they play, I was disgusted by the Henry Handball and Gallas goal that ended the world cup campaign of the Irish team.

But this is Tottenham... I wouldn't blink an eye if we suddenly signed Henry on loan from Redballs for the game and he handled it in the last min for Gallas to score the goal that put us through.

All that matters to me is Spurs making the CL, the hows and whys do not matter... we just have to be there.

I couldn't care less what other fans say, I know it would hurt alot worse to draw 0-0 and go into the Europa than it would to win by a single cheated goal. I would forget it within seconds and focus on who we are going to play in the CL group stages tar very much.

Amazing. Defoe thought it was going to get flagged, he was looking for it for ages. Unreal.

Its in the rules when your a top 4 team you get these kind of decsions in your favour, so all is ok :)

Ha ha ha!!!!

I'd forgotten about this thread.

In response to the original poster - it did feel pretty bad that it was given, but it wasn't intentional. Defoe looked and looked to see if they weren't gonna give it, but give it they did!

I spotted the handball and didn't celebrate, mainly because I thought it wouldn't be given. Defoe was well in to his celebrations by the time I'd got a clear view of the officials to see it had in fact been given. I figured I'd just got it wrong then as it seemed to blatant, albeit it at the far end of the pitch from me. Thankfully Crouch added a hat-trick :)
