Something like:

Butland

Bellerin
Alderweireld
Morgan
Rose/Monreal

Mahrez
Kante
Ozil
Payet

Vardy
Lukaku

I think Butland had the best run of form I've seen from a keeper during the autumn.
Fullbacks are difficult to pick, you could add quite a few names in to contention both on the left and right.
I picked one Spurs, one Leicester at centre back but could have been either unit in consideration.
Midfield picks itself for me.
Up front I think those two edge out Kane for me.

People might go 'not enough Spurs players' but I feel we've been built this year on a real team effort, rather than an absolutely outstanding individual contributions shining.

I'd also vote Mahrez/Alli for POTY/YPOTY

As for team..
I would go for the same as in the opening post, except think they will choose Lukaku over Kane - unless Harry gets to 30 goals again.
Can I ask why, given that Kane is leading the race for the golden boot ?

He wasn't when I posted.

And, it's just a feeling. Lukaku has had quite a lot of hype this year and Spurs/Kane have been quite low profile throughout - even when the media started to wake up, Kane went a few games without scoring. I don't know when it's all decided, but if it was a few weeks ago then I think they'll go for Lukaku in the team of the year.

The predictability of it all.
Its great to pick our selection, but I am going for a slight alternative...

Alli - YPOTY already decided. The amount of MoM awards (not all I have agreed with) he has won and the press, its done and dusted.
Mahrez, - POTY ...next...

DeGea - will be GK of the year, they can't help themselves.
Rose/Walker - Neither will be named as FB's
Toby - Might make the team but won't be considered best.
Vertonghen - Won't make team (out too long)
Dier - won't make team
Kane - Will be striker of the year (FA poster boy), unless Vardy scores the winning goal to claim the Title.

The rest will be made up of West Ham and Leicester players.

So apologies, I haven't selected MY selection.

Absolutely stunned that Lloris isn't even mentioned for Gk of the year.

A mate of mine (scotsman, everton fan) scoffed at my claims, stating that De Gea and Coutois are the best in the league. I countered that he thinks this because that's who he sees most regularly on Sky/BT. I made a point of watching a bunch of Spurs games with him, and every time Hugo made a worldy, or came out early to cut out a threat, I would point it out... "see, he does at least a couple of them every game..." and he starting seeing my point.

None of you are shoehorning an undeserving Liverpool player into your teams. Surely you all know that no Team of the Year is complete without a Liverpool player, regardless of how well/shit they've been.
