Really dont like this camera angle. Not sure why they keep changing it to a lower down one when you can see a lot more when it is higher up.

It's Turf Moor, thats as high as the camera man can get!

First game of the season against a newly promoted team - I'll agree they're probably favourites, but there's a hell of a long way to go.
This is true, but as someone already mentioned, they look as slick as fuck.

God it seems weird but it wasn't that long ago that we used to look this threatening and scary to the opposition when attacking. With Lennon on form, Bale, VDV and Modric threading balls through. I hate to look back so much, but would be a joy to get near to that level again. We just don't have the same pace (although still a reasonable amount) and more importantly, clever minds.

Used to be much higher before this season. They done the same at Stamford Bridge, The Reebok and Upton Park, although seeing less of the pitch might be a good thing with the last two. They tried it at White Hart Lane too, but thankfully enough people complained so they put it back. ITV still use the low angle for some reason.

At one point we had the second best midfield in the League, only behind City.

Its sad to see it gone now, Modric, Parker, Bale and Van Der Vaart all gone. But the midfield we have now has so much potential. If someone could unlock Lamela, Eriksen, Holtby, Bentaleb and Townsend, we could be onto something again. Just lacking a world class striker once again! ha

They looked great in the first half of the first game last season too (Hull I think?). Remains to be seen if it is Burnley making them look good or Mourinho has them playing good football.

I just don't think we have the creative minds or players with the ability to match the mind currently in the midle of midfield. It's just a bit bland there for us at the moment IMO.

why lump it up when Chelsea have defenders that are 8 ft tall?!

Absolutely gobsmacked that Gary Neville and the good folk at Sky [sic.] are defending Costa - even with all their close up and sl-mo. It is clear as day that he begins to lift his leg up, which is a natural movement of his jump and then stops himself and allows it to train in order to initiate contact.

It doesn't look too good at the moment yes, but have faith old boy. This is a completely different style of play to what Harry did with his 451. Poch's high intensity screams out for Holtby in my eyes, his reputation for getting the best out of youngsters leaves me optimistic about Townsend and Lamela, Eriksen can go missing in games, but if he performs as he did last season I'll be happy. Though most importantly, the one good thing from Sherwood is the introduction of Bentaleb, because blimey he is a good midfield option.

We're not going to play that dynamic attack attack attack game that we had with Bale and on form Lennon. But we can build a play based upon intense structured pressure. It won't be as entertaining, but it will be far better than what AVB and Tim tried to do.

If we get Schneiderlin in it could be even better. Out of all of our previous midfield dynamo's I stand by the statement that only Bale was irreplaceable. Things will get better from last season. And I honesty believe if given time, Poch can do it for us.

Fabregas will do that to your team! Cant believe they have him..

I don't really understand why Arsenal did not take up the option.
Put Fabregas in for Arteta and they start to look really worrying, plus it stops Chelsea strengthening.
