It doesn't look too good at the moment yes, but have faith old boy. This is a completely different style of play to what Harry did with his 451. Poch's high intensity screams out for Holtby in my eyes, his reputation for getting the best out of youngsters leaves me optimistic about Townsend and Lamela, Eriksen can go missing in games, but if he performs as he did last season I'll be happy. Though most importantly, the one good thing from Sherwood is the introduction of Bentaleb, because blimey he is a good midfield option.

We're not going to play that dynamic attack attack attack game that we had with Bale and on form Lennon. But we can build a play based upon intense structured pressure. It won't be as entertaining, but it will be far better than what AVB and Tim tried to do.

If we get Schneiderlin in it could be even better. Out of all of our previous midfield dynamo's I stand by the statement that only Bale was irreplaceable. Things will get better from last season. And I honesty believe if given time, Poch can do it for us.

And if we win on Sunday, that'll probably take us a couple places up the table.

That was a wonderful pass by Fabregas. Chelsea played some great stuff first half, and did a typical Mourinho job second half.

Strongly fancy them for the title this year.

But not good enough for Barcelona..... twice. Very odd how he didn't fit in there.
He had to play to other players strenghts, not his own. Also a lack of tactical discipline. He likes to play with more freedom like he did at Arsenal. He was never going to replace Iniesta or Xavi while they were still performing, so he's been played out of position, out on the wing or as a false 9.

Watched the Chelsea match to see how they set up and used Fabregas.

This is what I derived:

Poch sets his team up like Mourinho.

- both tactically have a pressing game. When the ball is in a certain area the forwards and attacking players squeeze down and try to win the ball back in the oppositions half

- matic and fab are the pairing in the middle to keep things at bay when the fullbacks bomb forward.

- the trio of hazard, schuller, and oscar are fluid much like eriksen, Lamela, and Lennon play

- the forward drops back deep to bring players in. Similar to ades attributes.

The difference?

- we don't have a Fabregas to play the role next to Matic or Capoue in out case.

I am not saying we play the exact same way and the Poch models his set up after Mourinho, but I do see the similarities.

I still wish we went for Benega to play next to out DM. We need a playmaker in that role. Someone that links the play seamlessly and gets things moving. To me Holtby is the closest player. Can disrupt play and pick out passes.

Probably a reason he's been chasing Schneiderlin.

Shiny and capoue. That would give us everything we need in a DM2.
