I'm certainly not one of the Levy out mob and also don't believe he has "7 days". He is one of the best things to happen to Spurs and as others have pointed out, we have spent a huge amount of monies with him at the helm. Whatever happens in the next 7 days, Levy needs to stay put, without question.

However, one thing I will say is this. Some people seem to be putting blind faith on the guy, ie. if Berba goes, there will be a replacement. Well, to my mind, Levy has had long enough to replace Berba, it's not exactly come as a shock he wants to go. Keano certainly was, but still, believing if Berba goes, a replacement WILL be found, is not necessarily definate, certainly not a replacement that can easily replace the man.

We all hoped (And were told by the EyeTeaKaye's) that if Keano went, a replacement would be found first. Well, weeks on and two games in, no replacement and it's cost us no matter how you look at it. If we are to get fourth this year, which was looking unrealistic anyway, we can't afford to be dropping points so early and two defeats in two games......well, it's clearly cost us as we have no options up front. Throw Berba into the mix as well and I personally am astounded that nothing has been done to cover us.

If we bring in, for example, Kaiser Greg, in the next 7 days, Levy will and IMO, should, stay in charge of THFC. However, it's a test of just what he is willing to do and when he says where he wants this club to go, if he'll put his money where his mouth is. We need quality, we need them now, we need to pay. Fascinating 7 days in store.

Bottom of the league on New Year's Day. Why?

We can't carry on playing 4-5-1 with Bent on his own up front. Every team knows exactly what to expect from us ATM and they isolate us very very well. I can only see us getting a point from games MAX with the current squad we have, and that's with going into games defending and counter attacking. We've played 4-5-1 twice so far in 2 games, have gone all out attack in both and have been beaten twice. If it was Berba up front on his own we'd be fine because he's good in the air, has amazing movement and can hold the ball up better than any other striker in the league, whereas Bent can't. Bent's movement is ridiculously bad.

Forget a DM and CH right now, we need 2 strikers and the way things are going right now i'd even take Heskey!

If we dont sign any forwards before the window closes, we WILL be bottom of the league come New Year's Day, but we might not go down if we sign a striker in January...

IFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF on the other hand we sign a couple of strikers before the window closes, and thats a big if! We will smash everyone in sight.

At the moment we're only 3 points behind the team who, if we are up there will be our biggest challengers for 4th place, the gooners. I watched them against Twente a couple of weeks ago and they looked s***, after that i said if they play a half decent team who have a rock in the midfield they will get beat. West Brom ran them close, and Fulham and Jimmy Bullard got the job done. I know were away to Chelsea next week and the scum are at home to Newcastle but IF we sign a quality forward with movement that can link the midfield we will come away from Stamford Bridge with 3 points. I can also see the scum getting turned over by Newcastly if they start with the same team as yesterday.

Levy has got 7 days to prove to me he's got what it takes to run our club. It's been publicly known to all for over 6 weeks Keane and Berba want out, and Levy obviously knew a while before this and still hasn't brought it adequate replacements. I was over the moon when we sold Robbie for £20m+ because he is easily replaceable, but a month after signing for Liverpool, still no replacement. Now Berba is leaving and he will be a hell of a lot harder to replace, so lets hope we replace them both in the next week otherwise i will be the first to start the chant of...

LEVY OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK. A little over the top, I feel. In principle, yes, we are desperate for strikers at the moment. I don't see us being bottom of the league. If forced to, we would play some of our reserve strikers, most notably Pekhart. And also, unless I'm horrendously mistaken, can we not loan players at any time? Or do they also have to be during the window?

Its this sort of bollocks which is most people can't stand Spurs, fucking idiots who claim to be supporters talking absolute shit constantly

Yes we need 2 strikers when Berbatov goes, but fuck me we are TWO games in and people are calling for Ramos and Levy to be sacked... Everyone who says that sort of thing needs to grow up or fuck off and support some team like West Ham who you can happily sit and moan about week in week out...

The reality of this situation is we have been shot in the foot with Keane and Berbatov, not a single person could even comprehend Keane handing in a transfer request at the end of last season but oh well shit happens and we are moving on... Ramos has just started shaping his team which always takes time and with only a single attacking option atm he hasn't got much room to change things has he, but Levy has proved time and time again he will back Ramos and don't you think Comolli and Levy are doing everything in their power to secure us the strikers we need to progress...

Levy has done some very good things for the club and some fairly bad things as well. But most of all he's been prepared to spend money, which can only be a good thing. Without Levy we wouldn't have Berbatov, Modric, Gomes, Hutton etc.

However, that doesn't mean that the board are above criticism. I think that they have handled the striker situation very poorly - we've had months of warning that our strikers were leaving, and the priority should have been to get at least 1 striker in before the start of the new season. If we'd have signed one striker in July then I think we could have waited until the last minute to sign another one.

But please, not only Berbatov is paid to be proffesional, But i'm sure Dl & DC are paid to be proficent. People seem to overlook that we have 20m from Keano sale, if unexpected, then so was the money from that deal. so why have'nt we got a replacement? This is sending JR out with 1 arm tied behind his back. The season is about Confidence and our teams confidence is being shot before we even get going. i don't want anybody sacked or booed i just want commonsense decisions from the board. The same thing happened last year I remember the last minute inspired signings of Kaboul & KPB haha.

as has been said Levy has done some good things and some bad things

he's been in charge about 7 years - during that time we've won one trophy, got to another final and a couple more semi finals - and we've averaged what - about 9th in the lge?

this is pretty typical for spurs over the years - albeit the lge cup is the most minor of the major trophies - nevertheless a trophy every 7 seasons is pretty much the going rate and our overall lge position in the 60 years has been 10th

Levy has a hard job without doubt - one that certainly I couldn't do - nor most of us on here

overall I wouldn't say he's been great or terrible - he's been ok, perhaps even quite good, - let's hope he can get us to 'better than typical ' this season - though ATM if anything this season threatens an underperformance - time will tell

Chelsea did not play 5-4-1 when they won the league they played 4-3-3 Drogba up front supported by 2 wingers.

Our 4-5-1 is a waste of time bent cant play up front on his own all the long balls and he cant flick on any and when he does there is never anyone there to support him the fact that we have played this twice now with the same out come things need to change.

At least bring throu Pekhart to play upfront we need 2 strikers not one, the position Bentley played yesterday would have been perfect for Steed.

i dont think 4-5-1 is the way to play, well its not a the moment bent is not getting a sniff of the play he is doing his best making runs all over the place and not being found, we need 2 up front a big man like bent and a Santa Cruz would have been nice.

I never said sack Levy you morons...

I said if we dont sign 2 forwards by Sept 1st were in the shit big time! Anyone who disagrees with that comment and would still love Levy to be in charge in 'the year were really gonna challenge arsenal!' by selling Berba and Keane with NO REPLACEMENTS is a idiot of the highest order.

Losing Keane and Berbatov going needn't have turned into a crisis .

Ask yourself why Spurs were able to get Berbatov in the first place and why only 1 club has come up with a half decent offer .

He's a prima donna with such a poor attitude that he is valued little higher than lesser players like Forlan .

It's time for Spurs to forget about the glamour and get somebody in who can actually do the job .

We should be looking for someone with a bit of Shearer about them .

Klaas Jan Huntelaar has maturity and presence and the club should get him in regardless of what happens with Berbatov .

For Spurs KJH could actually be more effective than Berbatov and will also have a very positive effect on the players around him - a man rather than a hairdresser .

Some of you guys are such whingers. :bang: Get some perspective before posting please.

A transfer window isn't just one day. Spurs have improved every area of the pitch except striker, and I might argue we got much much younger with Pavs, and GDS and a shiteload of money to spend in Jan if Pavs or GDS can't get the job done.

GK Gomes looks like a huge improvement on Robbo

RB/CB Corluka looks like a great jack of all trades who could also fill in at DM if needed. It is harder then just throwing money at a club to get a quality backup centerback who is willing to sit on the bench when King and Woodgate are healthy.

RW Bentley despite the slow start is a quality player who will come good when he gets used to the new team and what position he should be playing.

CM Modric the player most of us have been screaming for, could be our Fabregas if you ask me.

ST Pavs and GDS/Campbell while they certainly aren't Berby and Keane they aren't Heskey and Rasiak. There was no panic buys and if we are really stinking it up we have a ton of money to spend in Jan to pry a quality striker away with more time then a few hours after Berby left.

We got all of that this summer yet we are so horrible because we got way over their actual value for Berby and Keane. Its not like we got mugged on the price, we held our ground with two players who didn't want to stay and got 50 million pounds, let me say it one more time 50 million pounds for 2 players. None of which was named Ronaldo or Kaka.
