Agree that we need more creativity but it is clear we are after someone who can see a pass.We had the same issue last season but it was often glossed over by Bale's form. That's why if we see Bale for £90m and buy Lamela and a creative talent we will be better off as a TEAM. Obviously we will miss Bale (who wouldn't) but the money may enable us to buy someone we have lacked since VDV and Modric left.

I don't think Dembele can play the number 10 or share it with Paulinho as he did today. He has a great touch and is easy on the eye but doesn't score enough or play enough forward penetrating passes to really excel in that role. In many whays what we need is an upgrade on Sigurdsson.

Anyway just really pleased that we have 6 points. We have had a lots of upheaval (just as in the past two seasons) but it hasn't been clear on the pitch. This team will only get better.

£26m poacher and I can remember one attempted through ball. That needs to improve.

Pauli attempted to but passed it righto to the defenders legs, there was a few times Bobby was in good positions and he was simply not seen.

I think we're actually looking far less predictable than last year. We're splitting our attacks quite nicely between left and right. We have a player coming through from midfield to get on the end of chances (OK he didn't put them away but I'm pretty sure he will the way he just ghosts into the box). We're playing the ball out well from the back and we're winning the ball higher up the pitch with our midfield trio. Yes we need a player or two that play with their head up a bit more and look to get others involved rather than running out of ideas and taking a speculative shot or just trying to dribble past every player on the pitch and end up int he same position, but I think we'll get one. Holtby coming into the side would be nice too, I think he'll make quite a big difference vs. Dembele.

Spot IOMLS, you need to get the chalkboard out again to explain it graphically to everyone.

I don't think creativity is needed in the centre of the park, it should come from the wings. If we are to play AVB's preferred 4-3-3 going forward, then I see Paulinho, Holtby and Siggy as the creative parts of that midfield, complemented by Capoue, Sandro, Dembele (and Carroll). That sai,d if we were to buy a creative CM, then it would be interesting to see who is first choice alongside him - Paulinho/Dembele and Sandro/Capoue. Not the worst problem to have.

In my onion, it's a Lamela-type player that will really set us alight - the CMs just need to gain a better understanding with Soldado. I am confident this will come over the next month.

We've looked solid defensively, which is so important at the start of the season. We have a great base to build upon.

What we need is Arsenals passing to go with our strength and Soldado up front.

Demebele is highly overated. He scored what 1 premier league goal last season?

He cant last 90 miniutes either.... Play 4-2-3-1 with Sandro and Capoue as the 2 holders, Chadli, Paulinho and hopefully Lamela as the 3 with Soldado as cf

Don't want to detract too much from the fact we've won 2/2 and conceded 0, but I feel we're lacking vision and creativity.

Modders used to supply from the middle and Bale from.. well, anywhere. But now, we have two average wingers. I think Chadli is technically VERY good, but lacks the pace required to breeze past a fullback and bothTownsend and Azza are hardly going to set the world alight.

And in the middle we lack vision for a pass. Our play seems predictable through the middle and I saw minimal defense splitting passes or even semi-decent through balls.

On the plus side our defense looks formidable defensively and Jan is an absolute beast!

Next victim.

COYS!

If the window was closed and this was it i would understand this post....but the window isn't shut and we are hopefully going to bring in the likes of Lamela and Hulk.

I have been watching Spurs for over 35 years, this team is going to be special....i can clearly see what AVB is building and i like it alot...in fact i love it, be patient and relax ffs....we are gonna have a great season playing great football....and as for Capoue....fucking wow!!

Were you not satisfied with our passing yesterday? I can't remember us passing like that... ever. When this team gels we will have all the creativity we need. On several occasions we opened them up like a can of sardines. Had it not been for Vorn we would have scored 3-4 goals. I think we are creative enough and Holtby (I think our most creative passer) is still out injured.

i) The teams we played till now Swansea & Palace - both played 80min football with 10 men behind the ball. This is not going to be the case with rest of teh teams. More the opposition attacks, more goals we will score - becuase we have good ball winners. Now we win the ball in middle and there is no space for likes of Townsend & Chadli to move into. Against sides which comed at us, if Capoue & Paulinho break the attacks, we could have swift counter situatio nwe could capitalise on.

ii) Again after we win the ball, we make very silly mistakes bjust giving the ball in a misplaced pass. I have seen this pattern with both full backs Rose & Walker. Also there is a lack of connection between Chadli & Rose - they still need to work on their link up.

iii) We need a no10; thats quite obvious wjo will link up the mdifield & provide service to Soladado (obvious point)

Don't get me wrong i think it will come and quickly. When it does, with our pace and strength we will rip teams apart.

Only got to see the 2nd half yesterday.

Ah, that explains it. We were ruthless in the first. I mean we really should have put it to bed with 2 terrific saves from Vorn and a penalty not given.

If you are relying on Siggy and Holtby for this seasons creativity, then I'm afraid that you're in for some massive disappointment. Neither are good enough for starting position let alone flowing with creative juices.

We are extremely solid now but we need a fabregas type player as one of the midfield 3. So someone who can play through balls, score goals whilst also tackle and based on yesterday's showing that type of player will start ahead of Dembele

Paulinho played very well but when he broke forward he was unable to play any decisive passes when he was in good positions.

I'm not sure overrated is the word but he isn't as good as people say he is, he's still the same player we bought and he hasn't shown any signs of going to the next level.

If only he would keep his head up and his eyes open he'd be unplayable most days because its hard to get the ball of him when he's running. He's the spare man in midfield, he now has real competition for his spot and isn't a guaranteed starter he needs to respond otherwise he'll keep getting substituted.

Most expensive penalty taker in our history. Takes them bloody well though. On another couple of games with different refs we'd have 2 points from 2 games now

Need to find that player that can unlock the door and start threading a few balls through. Hoddle was their today, how much would Saldado have enjoyed playing with Glenda!!!

If it means we get a penalty every game and we score them too, £26m well spent, ha ha

We were similar at the end of last season too. Sunderland, Southampton all won by single Bale goals. There is no doubt we are looking to bring in a player to create and I think with more time Paulinho will create even more.
