What a fantastic achievement in these times that a tough tackling CM player has only picked up 2 yellows at this stage of the season

It's players like O'Hara that could cost us the fair play award for actually trying to win the ball sometimesEek

That isnt what worries me. Its the 50-50 challenges he doesnt win because he is not strong in the tackle. He is not a tough tackling centre midfielder, he is an interceptor, and a)he isnt the best at that and b)that is just not enough in the modern football world.

Zokora's two yellow cards this season show jusy how bad a DM he is.

Getting booked and sent off is part of the job description for a good Dm.

I'm not sure what worries me the most. The fact he makes no tackles, the fact he can't pass, or the fact that when he shoots he manages to get the ball further away from the goal than it is when he actually strikes it.

He had some good games in the past 2 cup games but honestly, I want JJ and the Hudd back in the middle next weekend.

i dont care how many yellow cards he has, would rather see him actually affect a game, create something with the ball... just something.
1 run 3/4 length of the pitch that always ends in a poor pass or if we're lucky a free kick and some good scampering around doesnt convince me that he is any better than a squad player.

The reason he has only picked up 2 yellow cards is because half the tackles he goes in for he missed both the player AND the ball....

Now if yellow cards were dished out for miss placed passes and giving the ball away then he would be suspended for most of our games.

He is just not good enough and will argue this with anyone

Your DM should pick up bookings, you want him making sacrifices for the team like when Palacios brought down someone today he took the booking for the team. If your DM is picking up bookings like that its normally saving you from dangerous attacks and despite Zokora looking alot better recently the lack off booking is testament to the fact he doesnt make enough sacrifices for the team and doesnt go in for enough 50-50 tackles, remember how many bookings Davids picked up when he signed but were we losing as many games back then?

You could pick up on other things Zokora doesn't do, aside from getting yellow cards.

You could have picked from:

Passing
Shooting
Controlling the ball
Tackling
Appropriately positioning himself
Being not shit

Unfortunately he can't do any of those. Zokora out, even when he was playing better he was still shit. I mean, after today's performance is there anyone left who thinks that this guy should have a future at our club?

That sort of appearance is not the minority. The good performances are. And as soon as people realise that those stupid, ****ing awful, pointless runs he goes on and wins a free kick after diving, cover up for his lack of any sort of ability, the better.
