Just asked Tifo Football could they do a history of Christian Gross. I can't believe it will be 21 years ago on 20th November he was appointed Manager and the Underground ticket.

I supported spurs when I saw us win the 1991 cup final. I thought i hit the jackpot with Spurs, a successful team always winning. Glory hunting that backfired for me

Damn well ruined the 90s for me from a footballing view point.

Can you imagine match threads if there was an SC in 1991?

The mid-to-late 90s was the Great Redeemer. It was the Fiery Crucible in which true Spurs fans are forged. The one place where all men truly share the same desperation, regardless of what kind of Tiger666-style optimist they were going in.

I still wake up in cold sweats when I think back to Spurs in the late 90's

Sadly, I attended far more Spurs matches in the 90’s than I do now as I used to go to quite a few away matches then as well.

Fortunately I was taking quite a lot of illegal substances during this period which helped get me through it :D.

To be fair, most of our matches were like matches on mushrooms anyway.

I can remember us getting tonked away at Sheffield United in the early 90s as well.

Ah Christ you just brought that result flooding back to me LOL

Absolutely 100% agree. Supporting Spurs through the dark days of the 90s ment you made of cast iron. The results, the abuse, the awful managers and truly terrible signings. I remember a quote from our new owner at the time a Mr Alan Sugar "no more £750,000 Joe Soaps at this club" an obvious dig at poor Rocket Ronny Rosenthal.
