His time with us is hidden in the back of my brain somewhere thankfully. Although I quite liked the man, it was such a weird appointment and showed why Sugar was probably the worst chairman in our history (after he saved us from bankruptcy of course).

I started thinking about him while watching other videos on European coaches. I remember that he was incredibly successful when he left us. Even winning the European Manager of the year a fair few times ?

I was at Uni in Portsmouth when he was manager so at least being drunk every day was some saviour, plus in my part of halls was a glory hunting Man Utd fan from Exeter who just added to the painful times......plus I was in Portsmouth!

We had to live through this, I started supporting Spurs as a 7 year old in 1982, I thought my life was going to be fantastic after a very good decade.

Then the 90's happened, I've fucking well earned these good times, and believe me, they are good times.

?? Your absolutely right. The 90s where so bad that I actually wanted us to be relegated, just so that the Club could be woken up. It was horrible in the 90's but I don't need to tell you this buddy. You were hip deep in it with me back then ?

It was indeed gravy with fish & chips. I was out of the hospital for a few hours and went to a really famous and old fish shop here in Belfast. Needless to say I think I kept it down for about 10 minutes when I got back on the ward. It was horrible PMSL ?❤?

This one was definitely the worst one for me personally. All my friends where Liverpool fans and we shared a university house together and I had to sit through with them. It would have been less painful if they had all taken turns kicking me in the nuts ?

I was the same when I saw his name. I think I have a very vague recollection of him but can't be 100% sure. Great call and I'm sure we are not the only two that don't remember him. Says a lot about his Spurs career that nobody can remember him ?

That was a massive mistake and one I have not repeated. At Wembley I had fish & chips but the condiment was Tartar Sauce ?

Funny you should say that. I’ve been watching Spurs live regularly since the late 80’s and this match is also only one of 2 that I’ve ever left early from. It was just too humiliating.

The other one was also against Chelsea, the 5-1 semi final defeat at Wembley.

We also left early in that one too mate just it was 15 minutes to go this time!.
