this is how long it takes Friedel to take a goal kick after the ball had gone out of play, to take an indirect kick after an off-side, or even to throw it after he has collected it. After he wastes so much time on the clock which allows to opposition team to regroup behind the center line, he kicks the ball up the field trying to aim for the shortest player on the pitch, as a result we lose possession most of the time in such cases.
Why do we keep doing this when we have so many quick players that can exploit the huge open spaces on the back? We scored two of our goals from such situations in the game against United and one against QPR, to mention the most recent ones, by moving the ball quickly up the field and taking advantage of the oppositions team attacking over commitment and our speed. Had the balls gone to Friedel in one way or another this would have never happened. The only thing that can make sure we win is scoring goals more goals, wasting time like this doesn't make sense in light of what the best way for us the score a goal is especially against a team full with slow legs such as United.
