Are you in favour of this? Seems it's on the cards to happen.

There will be fierce opposition from those with strong nationalist views for one of the home countries.

On the other hand, we will field an incredibly strong Olympic football team if it's a GB side.

I used to think a combined GB team would have been wonderful. Players like George Best, Pat Jennings, Cliff Jones, John Charles, Dave Mackay, Jim Baxter and John White, combined with England players like Bobby Moore and Bobby Charlton would have produced some amazing results, especially in the World Cup.

Will be interesting doing a team selection. So many to choose from...

What do you think?

It is an under 23 team though with two over age players, players born 1989 or younger, in a year with the euros as well.

Soo... it's too early to tell, as players who have made the breakthrough now, born in 89 or younger, are only 19 or under, and if they've broken through now, then they will probably be looking at the euro's squads. It will probably consist of Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey, Chris Gunter and John Fleck, assuming that Scotland and Wales don't qualify for the Euros.

Over age players would probably be people like McFadden (aged 29) and Craig Bellamy (aged 33) / David Healy (aged 32) OR "England B" players at the time.

Why?

England...crap
Scotland...overachieving but ultimately crap
Wales...Very crap
N.Ireland...crap

I reckon it'll happen but it'll just be a team of unknowns as none of the Premiership bosses will want to let their players be involved.

What makes people think we'll all still be one country in 2012 anyway?

Maybe because within 5 minutes of the SNP being in charge of an independent nation that can't use English taxpayers money the whole of Scotland will be begging to rejoin the Union.
