Not wholly impressed by Liverpool. Sterling just diving all over the fucking place.

United are going to be so susceptible at the back as well.

Its the problem with 3 at the back, would play a fit Townsend and Lamela against them to run behind that back 3 and fuck shit up

the final isn't going as good as the other matches in the tournament, hope it picks up in the 2nd half...

Both teams making poor mistakes

hopefully the game won't be decided by a dodgy penalty.

Yeah, I think the problem is they are just playing limited footballers in those positions. Jones, Smalling and Evans aren't very "cultured" with the ball at their feet and comfortable with accepting pressure while on the ball and distributing. It turns into them just hoofing the ball forward or playing overzealous passes that will never result in anything.

And, for the life of me, I can't understand why everyone thinks Liverpool are absolutely brilliant. Sterling has been a handful so far, but honestly I just don't see that same excitement in attack that they had last year. A lot of that is due to no Suarez/Sturridge, but I just don't see them being nearly as potent this season. Also, for all his accolades, I'm not seeing the Gerrard of last season, either. It's still early and it's probably not time to rule that age has finally caught up to him, but if it weren't for his solid positioning (and PKs), I'm not seeing the greatness anymore.

Its a pre-season friendly with most of our new signings and some best players missing. I wouldn't be extrapolating anything from either team as these teams will be nothing like the teams that will start the first league game.

BTW Sterling has been awesome, but Coutinho has been better. They way he took on 3 Utd players, got knocked down but still got up and kept the ball was brilliant. Honourable mention to Sakho too who has looked much better so far here.

Sterling has had a great preseason and Coutinho has been good so far

However your back 4 just has that stupid moment in them(like us last season)

Liverpool will struggle to make the top 6 this season. The loss of Suarez will be massive for them plus they have to play a ton more games now that they are in Europe. On the other hand ManU will have the benefit of far less games and in Rooney, RVP, Mata etc they have players who can hurt any defence. I think it will be us ManU and Everton fighting for the fourth spot

o_O We're far better than Everton. They'll have to deal with Europa league this season like us. They won't be anywhere near 4th spot.

Agree with everything you said otherwise though.
