Two for me
Gazza and Bale
Many others were greats but to just stand/sit there and be gobsmacked on a regular basis those two were the ones. I used to get hairs on the back of my head stand up when Gazza picked up the ball. Watched Hoddle and Ossie etc but not sure I realised how good they were as was young.

Harry is a VERY close call

Greaves - the greatest goalscorer I ever saw. I cried when he was sold to WHU(he did too)
Gazza - the complete midfielder. he had a way of making you feel like you belonged with him, that you were a part of everything he did.
Bale - For his last 2 years he was like a force of nature. the rest of the team were like extras in his movie
When any of those 3 got the ball it was hold onto yours hats time. They were exciting.
Special mention to favorites like Gilzean(greatest header of a ball), Chivers, Pat Jennings, Ginola, VDV, Mabbutt and Ledley King
Kane if he stays for a long time could become our greatest player ever. I hope that possibility will be enough to make him stay.

That was huge. We got Peters, who was great for us, but losing Jimmy Greaves was horrible.

This is impossible! I can't pick 3 favourites, and I can't pick the 3 best either. We've had so many great players over the years, and I've had personal favourites who were by no means the most talented of players.

Any list of 3 means leaving out players that should be in there. I gave up trying when I realised I would have to leave out players like Perryman, Mabbutt, Ossie, Hoddle, Ledley and Gazza- supremely talented players who I loved with all of my supporter's heart. And there are dozens more too.

I think I'll just be grateful for all the great players I've been fortunate enough to watch play for Spurs over the last half century, and the joy they- and the club- have given me.

I've only been a fan since the early nineties, but for me the best Spurs player I have seen is Harry Kane. Of course it's going to be him, he's going to be, if he isn't already, at Messi/Ronaldo level. He's reached a point now where a Harry Kane goal is to be expected. I'm surprised when he doesn't score or at least assist a goal now.

Not that I'm constantly expecting greatness from him it just goes to speak how phenomenal a player he's become and he's still only 24 years old..

Sure, Bale in his last season was world class, and I remember Ginola and Van der Vaart fondly as some of the best players I've seen in a Spurs shirt but Kane is on another level. My childhood hero was Klinsmann but in terms of favorites and/or best players Kane has far surpassed him as well. Modric, Keane and Berbatov were amazing as well, but given the manner in which they left and compared to Kane especially there's just no contest.

I guess if I had to pick three in terms of ability it'd be:
Kane
Modric
Bale

Replace Modric for VdV if feelings play into it. :)

I saw Greaves play in my first game, which we won 7-0, but was only 5 and don't remember a lot. So not sure if that counts.

So Greaves, Hoddle, Waddle, and Gazza if JG not allowed
