4 chances created, 3 tackles - Rose's best game of the season?

He did however have a couple of rash moments with desperate lounge challenges and I was sure he was going to be booked on the second one. However we still do have some refs who can hold onto the card a bit longer and let the warning do the work. A good game from him amongst some other very good games this season which shows he certainly shouldn't be discarded for Davies, they both are needed just now.

How can 3 tackles from a defender be considered good? It's like Schools giving you a certificate of qualification for completing a whole week's attendance

Need better fullbacks.

Going to have to partially disagree with that, whilst we could definitely do with some cover you will be hard pressed to find fullbacks that will do much better in such a constrained system. As we play with inside forwards and rely so much on our full backs giving us width, at times both Walker and Rose are left horribly exposed. With the relatively inexperienced and as a result positionally poor (when not in possession) Mason and Bentaleb occupying the midfield two we are always going to be exposed in the wide positions on the break.

Ledley King was a supreme defender because he positioned himself so well that he rarely ever had to tackle. So this stat cannot be viewed in isolation.

Agree except Bentaleb and Mason have been superb. We get exposed because of the system we play but i like it. To Dare Is To Do.

But if you had the chance to sign someone like Ivanovic I'm sure you wouldn't partially disagree.

I am not a huge fan of Rose but he has done well the last couple of games. As I said on Sunday, that performance has to be his base line to how he needs to perform each week as a minimum.

If he dips under that line then he becomes an absolute liability, a la Liverpool away.

I really think him and Davies can really push each other to become better players if Poch uses them fairly and correctly.

Ivanovic isn't that great of a defender believe it or not however offensively he is one of the best in the world.
