Brendan Rodgers spoke only days ago of Liverpool's '533 million supporters! What sort of stadium is going to house that many fans? :wtf:

They do have loads of fans overseas though, particularly in Asia. When I was in Japan it seemed like there were more Liverpool kits on sale than United ones, even with the Kagawa link. Just come back from Amsterdam and, again, every sports shop I walked into had more Liverpool kits than anything else. I went into one on a high street and Liverpool kits were the only English club kit to be found, sitting right next to the Ajax kits. This season has really helped them get back on the map.

It may seem over here that they've been a bit of a joke the last few years, but support for them is still going strong overseas.

Had to google Penn State stadium. Apparently it has a capacity of 107k....thats more than the population of my town!!!
Michigan Stadium (The Big House) has a seating capacity of 109,901 but can hold over 115k. Set the record in September of 2013 with 115,109.

Not sure how he gets that figure, but about 1/2 the population of Africa south of the Sahara are Liverpool fans. Plus the Asian contingents. Maybe he is not far off, depending on how you class a 'fan'.

And that proves what Brits have been saying for centuries, foreigners are a weird bunch.
