No idea fella. Imagine the new bloke at Chelsea would be signing for more than anyone at Spurs tho. Also only underlines the point the journo is making re: investment in scouting, etc vs new signings.

Yup, spending huge amounts of money is a failure of scouting or youth policy.
I was listening to talk sport the other day and for once I agreed with ****y. He was livid that they'd sold Chalobah to Watford for £5m who'd had a few opportunities in their first XI without giving him a proper chance and spunked £40m on someone to play in his position who is about the same age, all because his previous club gave him the opportunity in their starting XI in the first place.
As he said what's the point in having a youth set up if none of them ever get the chance to play in the first team.
And we wonder why there's always a lack of young English players....
