Wittgenstein would have loved this thread. Great example of how we all interpret language and context therein differently.

Take me, for example.... I didn’t really have a problem with the OP points. I was a little taken aback by the harsh backlash against him, as I had interpreted his post differently. To me, the post wasn’t really about Sissoko at all, but rather he was being used as a proxy to explain a more macro observation about the intricacies of performance dynamics. Or, another word for it might be alchemy.

When a team or group of people sync, and are in harmony they can operate by instinct. But if one of the pieces doesn’t quite fit, it impacts the ability to react out of instinct, as they become more mindful of everything around them.

This isn’t about Sissoko to me. Just an interesting observation about how difficult it is to get into that ‘flow’ if one of the dependencies for getting there doesn’t quite fit. Something that could honestly apply to any player.

I think we could've then counted on Karl Popper to drop in to try to put him in his place regarding both his analysis and Sissoko.

Just noticed this thread and read through the whole thing - properly embarrassing response from the pitchfork crowd, it's a bloody forum, it's quite literally to be used for posting and debating opinions, not shutting them down.

So the guy didn't realise his post should've gone in the player thread - why not just tag a mod and ask for it to be moved rather than publicly condemn the guy?

Like the Communist Party in here sometimes with the screaming repression of negativity.

He also had a good point.

This.
I don’t rate sissoko but he has his strengths and weaknesses, no need for this thread at all after such a good win and performance. LOCK

What are his strengths? Please enlighten me.

And please if they can be football related, you know things like: short/long passing, tackling, technique and ball control, goals, shooting, balance, crossing, set pieces, heading etc....

Agree, there's a group of 3/4 in every thread, same people just moaning.

it is a valid point about Sissoko and I am all for supporting our players but I draw the line when one is clearly not good enough or does not put the effort in.
