I got married last Thursday, 23rd. My dad, also a big Spurs fan, was my best man and during his speech he had my brother read this letter out. It was lovely surprise and meant a lot to me.

I wanted to share it with you as I think it's pretty cool.

I'll be getting the original framed.

Dude that made me smile. Maybe it's a form letter- maybe not- but who cares, it's cool. I love Poch so much it's scary lol; if he started a cult, I would probably join lol.

Good luck on your marriage btw, and if I can give you one piece of advice (having been married for almost twenty years), it's this: love her the way she is right now, 'cause she will never, EVER change. She is who she is; accept it or perish.

You're wrong, they do change. I have been married 45 years, The more mature they become the more beautiful they are.

I knew I'd get blowback for saying this, but I still maintain that- despite other changes- their core personality/temperament/outlook remains the same. I'm not even saying that's necessarily a bad thing, just that in my experience it's the way they are. YMMV.

It Is a form letter for sure, I've seen it posted on Twitter once or twice. I don't care. I like you adore the man

Its not blowback mate, you youngsters have got so much on your mind these days, I thought you forgot!!!!;) I think my wife has been influenced by my traits, equally I have picked up on some of hers. By the way what is YMMV? not used to this modern day language!

Your Mileage May Vary; i.e., what's true for me might not be for you. Btw, the first person to tell me the advice I relayed to the OP was an 80-year-old Holocaust survivor who'd been married for 50 years! So what I said did not originate from the mind of a youth!

Anyway, in my case it's true; my wife is fundamentally the exact same person I married, only with age/experience-related differences. At her core she hasn't changed one iota. I'm still trying to figure out whether that's good or bad...
