In this context it means i don't care. Not british/irish?

Well 1 out of 2 'aint bad.

However, I'm sure there must be more polite ways of expressing that same view. How's about just saying you don't care and leave it at that.

The joys of language and the multitude of ways one may express oneself.

Also ‘Bollocks’ is one of my favourite words ever. I rarely talk anything else.

Mine too mate. It's a word with so many inferences and such versatility. Having said that, I personally wouldn't have used it in the same context you did, as a response to a perfectly innocent post. I took it it as being unnecessarily aggressive and I couldn't understand why. Now I know no aggression was intended and that's absolutely cool. Anyway, bollocks to it all.

Well there’s no need to be like that...

Always glad to share my love of bollocks and it’s many many uses. The word itself is the Dog’s proverbials.
