A point i raised a long time ago about teemu

Just like to highlight how this board changes so dramatically over a short period of time.

last year i was a big campaigner for danny Murphy ot be given a starting spot ahead of Teemu i cant last 90 minutes or play 2 games in a row Tainio.

Murphy has come in this season and id say we are really starting to see what he can do.

he has had a few good games recently since he has been given a run in the side and not 5 mins here and there, even tonight when he was not at his very best he had a shot which berbe had a goal ruled out for offside,the keeper pushed his shot wide after good link up play with berbatov and his tracking back was as good by Murphy as i have ever seen him do.

At the same time Murphy has come on the scene, all the 'teemu is world class" brigade has gone quiet as surprise surprise he is injured again.
At the start of the season i thought he would be useful as a back up player and that would be it, now i dont even see him as that, with Murphy coming through, Malbranque back training,davids seemingly not part of team and used as back up, and Hudd finally getting games i just dont see a place for him espec way Ghaly has come in as well.

Even when we have been struggling ive barely heard his name mentioned when last year on this site he was almost the new god.

Now he's just another player who's come in, never quite made it and will either filter out in Jan or come the end of the season and people will turn round and say, not that great anyway, just a squad player.

I always backed Murphy and think he is an excellent player. However, last year we had a different CM partenership and when either Teemu or Davids didn't play we "lacked bite" (what BMJ said). This season we have Zokora in the middle who is a more physical player and Jenas is definitely putting in far more tackles and I think this is why Jol is more happy to play Murphy.

Tainio is an OK player aswell, he is injury prone and lately when he has played he has not done much. They r good squad players to have.

When all these guys are match fit they are all quality. Add Steed and JJ to the list and we have real strength and options in the middle.

How times change. Year after year after year we all knew are biggest problem was in midfield and now look at that list. Fantastic.
Add that to our solid defence and you can see that we're a top side.
If we take a few more of the chances we create we'll give anyone a game.

What he said. A 'player' is somebody actually available to play. He needs to end his stay in the Anderton Memorial Wing of our medical centre before he can be considered a midfield option.

Lets judge TT when he is fully fit.He was playing with an injury and out of position. His perfomances at the end of last season were really impressive especially at Hibuary and he will come again.

He needed an op so he must have been really struggling so lets get off his case a bit. Why do we always need to have a whipping boy....i dont get it!!!!
