No thanks. We don't need to sell ! He was the only consistent defender we had last year... and "he's one of own"

He's not really one of our own, no more so than Raheem Sterling was one of Liverpool's own. However I've no doubt that we'll keep him this summer. Even if Chelsea are serious they've waited too long to try and push a deal through this window and I also think Rose is as happy as he's ever been with his football and knows his career is on an upward trajectory under Poch. Next season possibly, and I'm sure if he had the chance to move back up north where he's from whilst also getting Champs Lg football he would jump at the chance, but I'm not expecting any movement in the next few weeks.

talksport saying it now

Hardly adds credibility to the story...

I can't quite fathom why it states in the picture caption that Rose would be cheaper than the guy from Augsburg as well as being home grown. For that fact alone we would be demanding more than Augsburg!

Didn't they pay £18m last summer for an ageing Spaniard not proven in the Prem? Certain that were this to happen Levy would be asking for more than that.

He came though our your system, ok he went to doncast I think then leeds before us but its 8 years of being at spurs. It would be a shame to loose him, personally I don't think the story has legs its more media speculation.

All the Billy boys slagging off Rose are probably hoping this link isn't true.

Funny how things turn around.

Thats right, then we can buy some foreigner who will take 2 seasons to settle if at all........

Indeed.

AND Rose is one of our most improved players last season.
AND selling him would only leave Davies as are only LB (and xxx can play at LB doesn't count)
AND will would get rid of one of our English, homegrown payers.
AND why the hell would be bolster the squad of a top-four competitor?
AND Cheal$ki have already targeted Ausburg's Rahman, who would cost rather less.

He's finally worked his way into being our 1st choice left back and most fans are starting to rate him as a decent left back.

He still has some improving to do but I would hate to see us sell him right now.
