So many people have said they enjoyed the season in the second division. Before my time but was this not the case or was it just the travelling fans?
I have heard that too - I think we had the third highest gates in the country that season (after Man Utd and Bin Dippers), but the travelling fans said it was the best season they can remember going to all those new grounds etc.
Back in those days getting relegated was almost a way of repairing he club, and we eventually came back stronger. Nowadays, financially it is just not an option, especially for the smaller clubs who can't absorb the hit as well.

There have been so many, but Chelsea Beating Bayern to knock us down to the Europa was particularly hard to take, especially in hindsight since they changed the rules afterwards, leaving us as the only English team to get screwed by the four teams rule.

Arnesen leaving for me.

I believe in the process and evolution within your means.

He had a plan for the entire football side of things and I believed in him.

I also wonder what Jol might have achieved had he had the DOF on the same wavelength.

Really was back to the drawing board after that.

Chelsea fluking their way to a CL win, and relegating us to the Europa Leauge in the process. It seemed so incredibly unlikely, for them to first go past Barca, and then Bayern missing penalties at will in the final. It seemed like something that could only happen to us. Subsequently Chelsea signed Hazard, Harry got the sack, and we went back into relative turmoil until Poch came in in 2014.

All I remember really was us winning a lot of games, so it was enjoyable after a season when we lost so many.

Campbell doing the filthy unmentionable turncoat **** of a move that had me shocked and silenced for about 20 minutes!
The ever increasing bad news about Ledleys knees... I/we all knew it would take ages to replace him.

Only one shout (so far) for Lasagne-Gate (and that was me).

Wow. I'm in shock.

Oh, that's right up there. But I was 16 for the 87 League Cup SF defeat - I've toughened up (a bit) since then.

Relatively recent one to be fair. Crouch’s red card against Madrid in the quarter final. Just come of the wins against Chelsea and the Arse and battering Inter in that second leg only for it to go tits up in the first 10 minutes in Madrid.....

.... though in fairness I was probably even more upset when we sold Waddle to Marseilles after a season that was very similar to Bale’s last one.

Woah, theres been a few even since ive watched Spurs. But Chelsea and the CL for me. Its one thing getting that instant kick in the teeth, its another level watching it unfold over a few months with a sense of inevitability.

Chelsea winning the CL was the same year Man City won the League. I fell out with football big time...the two teams funded by billionaires won the biggest prizes and it just seemed that the whole point of the game had evaporated.

Live on the telly - back in the day when it was a rare thing

After leading we let in three goals. Being young, impressionable and very annoyed the posters were ripped of the wall and shoved in the bin in a fit of fury. There may have been tears. Damn you Kevin Moran for the heartless way you killed a young person's hope with your unexpected goalscoring prowess. Bloody mouth breather.

Christ we've had so much shit flung at us in the 40+ years I've been supporting Spurs, but the day Burkinshaw left with that comment was probably THE signal that there was a very rocky road ahead! The '87 Pleat season was a fantastic, but all too brief, glimmer of hope for the future, then what followed was laid bare for all to see and for us to suffer.

Nothing can beat Sol Campbell our captain at the time walking side by side with Arsene Wenger.

Any other club, Sol would of had our blessing. (deep down i'm sure he regrets what he did)

I really don't think he does. It was a completely ruthless and calculated move, Sky Andrew and Judas KNEW EXACTLY what they were doing and profited VERY handsomely from it.
