Hope this deal goes through, no offense but 26 goals in 261 appearances is appauling for a "winger". He should have been in the 100 goal club by now...or 50 goal club atleast, and that's being super lenient...

I miss the old Azza. Flying down the wing making Evra look a right mug. Personally I think all the negativity with the 'he can't pass or cross' comments hit his confidence. At 26/27 he should be hitting the prime of his career, not the decline. A shadow of his former self.

You guys are going to think I'm crazy, but he has not being the same Lennon, that got his man sent off a couple times a year, since he switched to Nike boots. His electrifying years were all in Adidas

I think he just lacks the desire or intelligence to better his game. I don't think I have seen any development in his play since he was about 20.

No offence to the lad as he always seems to give 100%for the team! but I still think he has the raw talent to be one if the worlds best... He just never developed his game beyond his younger years.

Still a useful player though.

i think the problem has been our right backs. The emergence of Walker has really harmed him, as Lennon is our best right back now. He is always having to cover for our right back.

When we had Chimbonda, Chimbo was way more focussed on defending, and much more positionally sound than Walker. this released Lennon. The last 3 managers loved that Lennon is a hard worker, but this is at the expense of a true right winger. His record still wouldnt be great, but he would cause more damage.

Besides the) issue, we also seem to be forgetting about the emergence of one Gareth Bale and the effect that mustve had on Lennon, I'd imagine him spending lots of time thinking "why do I have to go forward and attack when Gareth is tearing teams a new one..." *just some food for thought.
