I am writing an article for a magazine about abuse in football and specifically the abuse we find amongst London clubs.
I am trying to find why so many people feel it is ok to sing hateful songs like the ones we heard during the NLD.
I want to know what you guys think? Are the chants acceptable? Do you join in with songs like the Wenger paedophile song?
Do you think people join in because they think it's funny? Or perhaps because others sing it they just join in? Is it because fans do not see footballers etc in the same way they used to?
Did the fact that the NLD started at 4 rather than lunchtime cause more abuse than usual (ie more drinking)?
What experiences do you have of abuse in football?
