Our Academy squad is back in Europe for the Otten Cup, staged by PSV in Holland, this weekend.

Fresh from finishing a fine runners-up in the prestigious Eurofoot Tournament in Belgium last weekend - where they won their first six matches before losing in the final - the lads face PSV, Borussia Monchengladbach and Ajax.

Sparta Rotterdam, Pao de Acucar of Brazil, FC Twente and Anderlecht battle it out in the other group.

The top two from each group go into the semi-finals on Sunday.

Our first match in the tournament is against hosts PSV at 7pm tonight local time, 6pm UK.

The matches are played over an hour, so two halves of 30 minutes and the tournament is held at PSV's De Herdgand training complex.

Squad: Ranieiri, Byrne, Tapping, Nicholson, Durojaiye, Francis-Angol, Stewart, Luongo, Coulthirst, Kane, Champion, Oyenuga, Archer, Ekong, Sheriff, Day, Hawkins, Yeboah.

i wonder how these kids rank up to the other EPL youth teams both past and present? One team that comes to mind is the Man U kids that became the backbone for most of theie recent successes - beckham, scholes, neville etc.

What would be nice is when we can see the kids move to the first team as I believe that we only have King and O'hara that have come through ranks today.
