So did you find out why he didn't play? I thought you knew everything.

He did play, just less than expected.

88 min: Millwall bring Adam Smith on for James Henry, while a handful of other players engage in some pushing and shoving in the middle, involving Luton's captain, Ronnie Henry, and Millwall's Shane Lowry.

From Millwall site :
'Jackett made a quartet of changes to the side beaten at Blackpool last weekend with Cup-tied duo Benik Afobe and Martyn Woolford replaced by Andy Keogh and Liam Feeney, whilst a defensive reshuffle saw both Adam Smith and Danny Shittu rested, with Alan Dunne and Karleigh Osborne stepping in'.

Millwall play P'boro on Tuesday, maybe they rested one or two players to have some fresh legs for that match

I'm still failing to predict accurately the lottery ticket numbers for next week.

Millwall vs. Peterborough today.

It would have been even more intriguing had Pritchard not been injured, but nonetheless I'd expect Smith to be back in the starting lineup after apparently getting a breather in the FA Cup match.

Got taken off at half time having lost possession twice, leading to two Peterborough goals. Manager has said he has started to make a few mistakes.

I have no doubt he will be a Premier league player but those saying he should be ahead of Walker make me laugh.

At the moment I think he won't be worse than Walker. Walker annoys me with lots of stupid fouls and terrible decision making.

Back in the starting lineup against Wolves tonight

I was talking to a Millwall supporting black cabbie on Saturday and he was saying he couldn't understand why Smith had been dropped, he said he was superb on the ball and going forward.

Its a mystery - nobody seems to have found a Milwall supporter saying anything different. Only thing I could think of is that the Milwall manager thought Smith was cruising too much and maybe startiung to make one or two unforced errors, so dropped him for a couple of games to make his point.

Oh well another 90 minutes tonight, and hope he keeps playing until the end of the season

I think he's got some learning to do defensively, but he's very much an attacking fullback who'll really contribute to a team's gameplay.

Millwall have been generally rubbish recently, and have been shipping goals like nobody's business, the loanee is always going to bear the brunt of the criticism as he'll always be questioned for his commitment.

Smith appears to be a bit of a scapegoat at the moment with the Millwall fans, the one I get the reports off has got the camel generally due to these poor results but he doesn't appear to be burdening too much of the blame on him, more so saying he is just a bit raw and still a young lad. Still thinks he's a million miles off being a squad player for us.

Milwall Thread on Adam Smith - All want to play him, but some want to move him into midfield
http://www.millwall.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=103145&posts=9

Millwall thread picking team for next Sunday - all but one poster has Adam Smith in their team 9no reason given for poster not including Smith (so it could be an oversight), athough some want to move him to midfield.

Conclusion is that Milwall fans are generally happy with Adam Smith, rate him as a footballer but some comment on the fact that his defending neeeds to improve (typical for a young footballer). Couldn't find any real negative views

I always thought Smith could be a fantastic midfielder and I still do. Above average pace for the position, obviously good intelligence on and off the ball, adept at passing. He's got the makeup for it.

On the bench today, which is a shame as I intended to watch the game on telly...

Thanks to @Millwall__FC and the supporters for my time at the club!

Started 24 Championship games plus once off the bench scoring 1 goal plus 3 FA Cup appearances for Milwall since November - good experience.

Eligible for the squad in the remaining PL games - but unlikely we will see him unless there are injuries to one of our senior full backs.

With him signing a new 3 year contract in January I expect to see him involved in the first team pre-season games.
