...has been a revelation at MK Dons, and did really well at Bournemouth. He's become a regular in the England U21 squad too. Does anyone have the inside track on how highly he is rated by the Spurs coaching staff?

If he carries on at this rate, there'll be other clubs looking to buy him.

With Nathan Byrne and Kyle Naughton also on the books, it'll be interesting to see who eventually rises up to challenge Charlie to be our No2 right-back.

The way I look at it Clive Allen is our number 2 right back...Charlie's off I'd say, I reckon it could be Naughton challenging Walker...which will be interesting

I think Kyle Naughton is playing as a left back at Norwich although he can also play on the right. So, I believe that if we had to choose one of the two, it will probably be Kyle over Adam really, due to his versatility.

I wish we had a good, young, English right-back in our ranks. :-(

Ahh well, better see if Chimbomba is available.

I saw Adam Smith run out for our reserves at Orient a couple of pre-seasons back, and i remember everyone turning to each other as he ran on going "Who the hells that lad?", so, quick as a flash, i rang Kaye and got her to find out, then turned round and acted like i hadn't been paying attention and said, "That lad? Oh, that's Adam Smith, young lad from the academy, he'll come in at right back" and looked proper clued up

I had no idea who he was, but glad to see he's still making progress.

Both Kyle Naughton and Adam Smith are right backs who can also play left back, so that will not be the deciding factor.

Will Naughton want to come back to be a back up to Walker - if not Naighton may want to leave and Smith will be back up by default ? Or will Harry say that neither Walker or Assou Ekotto can play all the Premiership and Champions Leagie matches and therefore Spurs will need to use 3 or even 4 full backs next year - making the third full back spot more interesting to Naughton and Smith.

After a full season in the PL playing LB and RB, I'd easily have Naughton in the squad ahead of Rose. I think it'd be more beneficial having Naughton on the bench, playing in the CC and the lesser PL ties, and sending Rose out on loan to a PL team. Adam Smith should either stay with us or in the Championship, in case we need to call him up.

That way we can sell Corluka, as that's what it looks like will happen, and still have a decent back-up RB with PL experience.

I know a guy who goes to every Dons game and he says Smith has been their player of the year - even claimed he's the best player in the whole of League One (although I think thats probably pushing it). He does look a good prospect but still looks very lightweight defensively. He might actually benefit from a loan spell at a more physical approach to the game, or at least a more cautious approach than the Dons have, whereby he would be forced to develop his defensive game.

Naughton has had to answer far more questions about his defensive capabilities this season and has arguably had to do it out of position as he's been on the left. I'd like to see us keep hold of Naughton next season as he'd be a decent option from the bench as cover for both full-backs, and with a year of premiership football under his belt (unlike Smith).

My mate plays with him at MK Dons and says he has been their best player this season but can't see him making it at Spurs, Championship definitely.

I watched him last night against Stevenage. He started off excellently running down the wing and getting an early assist. After that Stevenage settled down and our winger (Former scum youngster Luke Freeman) absolutely tore him a new one.He looks good going forward and is quick but his defending needs alot of work.

Like others have said, whenever I've seen him he has looked excellent going forward. He appreciates where to be, how to overlap, and puts in superb crosses. Can also strike a ball.

Defensively he needs a little work, he can be a bit impetuous, but he is still young.

As I see it Corluka will be off, Walker and Benny will be first choice, Naughton will provide cover for both, and Rose and Smith can get PL/Championship experience. I think that is an ideal setup, with Kaboul, Bale and Livermore providing emergency cover.

 That's the way I see it too. But I would prefer Gallas as right back to Kaboul.

Has had great reviews from MK Dons, would imagine next season Naughton will return to provide cover and Corluka will be sold, Smith I hope will have a loan to Championship/Prem league next season!

I've got a funny feeling Harry, if he's still here in the summer wants to go three at the back with wing backs for most games, hence Charlie not getting a look in/being allowed to go and looking for a CB.

Let's bring him to a Championship team and let's see how good he is.

Next year maybe a Premier league team like Norwich.
