I don't. I think he's just an uneducated peasant unequipped to deal with fame & fortune, who also has bad advisors
Uneducated and getting paid 5M for doing nothing? I doubt he's uneducated... Most definitely troubled and after not showing for he's national team I suppose it highlights more the tangled mess Adebayor let's himself in.
Playing football might of given him more joy but money the root to all evil dictated.

I don't think anyone thinks that

It's abundantly clearly Adebayor doesn't give a fuck about anything but his wages
Like an addict, Ade's interest is very short term. His behaviour now guarantees the paycheques he receives from us this year will be the last he'd ever get, likely for the rest of his life.

Maybe it is just me but considering our lack of striking options I really hope we can remotivate him and get him playing to his potential.

For better or for worse he is still at the club and we could really use him

EDIT: Ok I get it, I was talking out of my arse

Well, considering that he is not registered for the league, nor Europa - he's not really "still at the club"

I can't help feel that there's something seriously wrong when he's making such bad choices. It could be an attitude problem, or that he's become so alienated by everyone that he's just given up on everything. His family have caused him nothing but grief and his club have pretty much disowned him. Everything seems to have gone against him and Im not even sure it's football related. I don't like the poor attitude and lack of effort, but there's usually a reason behind it.

I wish we could take back all the wages we have given to adebayor and use it to help people in need, for example the Syrian refugees. There is something seriously wrong in this world...

I find it inexplicable how whenever Adebayor is negatively labelled someone will inevitably come out and say 'what has he ever actually done that justifies this? Isn't it all just rumour?' when stories like this frequently come out. Yeah, maybe it's all bullshit. Seems incredibly unlikely though doesn't it?

I think its the venom of the attacks that grate with me, no one really knows him or what has gone on.

He has had a couple of spells away from the club with permission for personal reasons, apart from that I don't remember a time when he has made himself unavailable.

The 2 coaches who have chosen not to use him I believe have cultural issues.

It would be easier to sympathise with his personal problems if he didn't make money such a huge issue.

It's obvious that he's turned down clubs because he's not been able to squeeze enough out of them, but he's perfectly happy to pick up hundreds of thousands a month for doing nothing from a club he's let down on many occasions and who clearly want him out.

You'd have thought that there'd be the smallest modicum of humility about him in that respect, but clearly there isn't. That rankles, regardless of his personal issues.

I think its too much to expect any man to give away money he has earned.

He also gives a lot to charities in his home country, they would take a hit as well.

Also people need to keep in mind that he may be on 100k per week but he will be paying up to 50% of that in taxes which is used in this country.

What grates me is why on the official site there is a picture of him with the first team squad....
