I am a very big fan of an on form Adebayor and generally am more of a fan of his type than the pure No.9 type of striker, but I was actually liking the way Soldado was playing, and despite him not getting goals, I thought he was doing the right things, going through the right motions and like all good No.9's I think all he needed was the rub and he'll be banging them in. You could see his instincts were good.

I won't mind a fit and firing Adebayor getting games, but I'll also be Ok with Soldado being started on Sunday.

I don't really want to see both and I don't think Adebayor's a wide forward type, he plays centrally or not at all for me.

Can we really trust Ade? .....just asking, ability wise he is the best striker we have and need, but that is sometimes irrelevant if his head/attitude is not right, shame really, as when he is on his game he is perfect for our style....

I personally would stick with Bobby.

There's no real way for us to know if his right at present.

Ade has been making the right noises in his interviews.

Many on here thought he'd never play for us again and ate up the newspaper stories about him training with the reserves as a punishment. Some even believed the ridiculous twisting of Defoe's words.

AVB having him training with the 1st team is a positive sign but it's up to Ade now to get fit and back into the 1st team squad.

I'll trust him if AVB does.

If bobby or JD were banging them in in the prem do you think Avb would be so forgiving? Like all stories, they are leaked from within, and i am not so nieve to dismiss that AVb didn't have some sort of a problem with Ade, like nearly all Ade's previous coaches before, he is a player that has history with his attitude surely you are not denying that, Avb is being professional, we have strikers out of form and a player like Ade in the squad, at the end of the day Avb wants results and if that means Ade in the equation than so be it, but lets not pretend Ade has not been a problem for AVB ..

TBH I don't know if there's that much to forgive.

Ade had a terrible season last year. This year he is getting over his brother's death and went back to training with the reserves to get his fitness up and now he is training with the 1st team.

That suggests that he has been working hard and could find a way back into the first team squad.

I have no real knowledge of Ade's problems with coaches.

I know Arsenal fans wrote him off as a mercenary for joining City, we then saw him as a mercenary for a long negotiation over his permanent transfer but I've read very little about his attitude problems on the training pitch.

In fact, I've only ever heard our players say very positive things about him.

People believe what they want to believe.

His brother died, now he is back training and in the 1st team squad.

If you want to believe he has a terrible character and this was a punishment then that is what you'll believe even if a lot of evidence suggests otherwise.

I think it's plausible for someone to go through a tragedy then for a manager to decide to get them back to fitness before going back into the 1st team squad.

I don't know the truth but then neither do you.

read my previous post as to why i think he is back in the Ist team squad.....i don't believe that Avb would be so heartless but to banish a player to train away from the first team in his moment of need....them falling out seems much more believable.

I have read your previous post.

Like I said, people make their own interpretations.

Some will interpret Ade training with the reserves as a punishment and therefore a sign of a bigger problem.

Some will see it as time to adjust and get back to fitness.

Surprised by the reaction on here.

There are things that are more important than one player's ability. Everyone loved seeing how together our squad was last season and the atmosphere looked great yet people still want Ade brought back in when he spent last season being a disruption, not trying and racking up fines. Even in the summer he was telling AVB that he had loads of clubs interested in him but once he was told he could leave all of a sudden it was only a couple of Turkish sides interested and the move never materialised.

Fuck him. I take what he Tweets and says in the media with a pinch of salt and even if you do believe him, he needs to show total commitment up until January until we even consider him for an important game, in my opinion. There's a huge gap for Ade to make up for me and I'm sure other players won't appreciate him coming in after spending last season being a total cock, afterall why should they have to bother with behaving well whilst others don't. I'd rather Kane played but given that we'll be trying to sell Ade in January I think we should give him a couple of run outs in the EL and League Cup in the hope that some club somewhere is mad enough to take him.

It's a shame because Ade's a great player and I loved watching him for us in his loan season. His behaviour has been unforgivable though.

I think there's also something in the rumour about Levy wanting to put him in the shop window.

I'm always intrigued by your posts and you're one of the most interesting posters on this site but I find it hilarious that you can rate adebayor yet are so dismissive of Dawson and walker, there's so much more to football than just ability, Lampard is testament to that. Consistency is the key (not that I'm saying Dawson and walker are consistent, but that talent without determination is nothing)
