I noticed Adebayor was back training in the first team squad this week (in the Andros video). Does anyone think he will back in the side soon?

It's a great thing he is back, as he adds true competition to Defoe and Soldado. There will no longer be a guaranteed cup striker and an EPL striker (although Defoe played wet spam).

We need him presently as he offers a different option. Soldado and Defoe are pretty much the same type, and any time we need to go to two strikers Adebayor is a good foil, he plays back to goal, drifts around and links play up, the other can focus on being in the penalty area and being the poacher.

I hope now Ade is back that we don't see Soldado start and Defoe on the bench or even the other way round. We need different options to change a game and bringing on Defoe for Bob isn't really going to change much. Adebayor on the other hand would give us a physical presence and the ability to go 4-4-2 when in need of a goal. My preference would be for Soldado to start in the league with Ade on the bench and Defoe as a starter in cup games. Of course this all depends on relative form though, and Soldado will need to get on the scoresheet soon enough if he wants to warrant regular inclusion in the side.

Good to have him back, if his mind is right?

I think he could form a deadly partnership with Bobby, doubt we'll ever see them both start a game.

It's not a bad shout, but I doubt we'd see AVB go for that. A 4-4-2 or a 3-5-2 with those 2 up front would be quite interesting. I reckon Ade could be a good foil for him as he likes to do dummy runs which would leave great space for Soldado.

When we are losing, AVB often changes our formation to 4-4-2
I think there is a real chance to see Soldado- Adebayor pair, but not in a starting line up I think

Adebayor - Soldado
Townsend - Paulinho - Sandro - Lennon

Would be very interesting. We'll never see it with AVB but still.
