Is he really injured or was he faking it to stop Arsenal getting momentum? I was wondering whether he stayed down because we were about to sub him for Defoe.

I actually felt he just didn't fancy it. There were a few times he sacked it after being tackled. Who knows!

It's a funny situation. First Defoe got injured and I didn't care. Now Defoe is fit and Ade potentially injured and I don't care. Says it all about our strikers really

He landed heavily on a fully straight leg, didn't look nice on the replay.

It funny how nobody stopped the game when he was down, maybe they didn't notice him...and I was beginning to think I was the only one who hasn't seen him

So basically he got stretchered off, and in line to play Thursday. Classic time wasting, well played Ade, that was your biggest contribution for the match. Pretend to be injured.

Clearly didnt fancy it in my opinion. Was having another stinker and generally looked like he didnt give a shit. The tackle he got booked for can be mistaken for "passion" but it was idiocy at its finest. Could easily have cost us two NLD's in a row. Last year he was immense at times, this year, complete and utter toilet.

Personally I think he needs to go at the end of the season and wouldnt suprise me if he ended up in qatar or something

The run for Bales goal was his biggest contribution, coming off was a close second.

Didn't think Adebayor was that bad tbh. I think people mistake foolishly chasing down goal keepers for work rate when its more like intelligent energy saving when you are on your own up top. He just seems to have forgotten where to be when it comes to scoring. I think anybody who has played sport can feel for him because it's just like that sometimes when you can't get it going. I think he needs put some extra work in on the training ground or just think like he did when he was young and breaking into football. At the moment he looks like a player that expects himself to play well but his instincts are on annual leave.

Sums up his general attitude at the mo. I know i'm not in his head an he probably has his reasons but I hate his attitude.

People may think Defoe isn't as good for the team but at least he loves spurs and puts in 100%.

Do you really think this is going to happen though? Ever since his breakthrough season at Arsenal he seems to have shirked every challenge or situation where he was not first choice or playing poorly.

He is a talented footballer but not the kind i want at Spurs long term and i suspect (and hope) that AVB feels the same.

I don't know how people can defend Adebayor. Sure when he wants to play, he's epic, but how rare is that? 1 in 20 games?

I know stats don't always tell a story and he's started a few games as sub, but look at this:

2011-2012
Apps: 37
Goals: 18
Assists: 12

2012-current
Apps: 20
Goals: 3
Assists: 0

Can anyone think of a game he's been good in this year? I can't.

The fact we've been playing so well with him in the squad every week, just shows how good our potential is. I for one, am very happy that Defoe is back.

I think that might be the problem. I think AVB liked him before he came in and what coach wouldn't want a striker like last years Ade. However as soon as he realised Ade was being a prick over contract negotiations and was happy to let the negotiations extend his summer holiday and miss pre season, I think AVB completely lost interest. UInstead he put his efforts into Dfoe and when Ade saw that he wasn't top dog he couldn't hack it. I can't fault AVB for that, he clearly runs a meritocracy where players like JD and Dawson ( now Siggy )can put the work in and actually feel like they have their destiny in their won hands when it comes to winning their place back in the side. Not having a dig but Harry clearly had favourites that knew they were going to get picked, I think that had a lot to do with the complacency that crept in and caused our late slide.

3) Adebayor getting injured

this boy looks like he has the fight in his belly. the battle between him, Dempsey and Holtby could be the catalyst for our CL aspirations these coming weeks

I thought to be honest his confidence must have been pretty low for him to attempt that dodgy square ball to Bale when he could have comfortably slotted it away by himself.

This aside, he does seem to be playing much better in the last few appearances, fingers crossed he is up for the Liverpool game and will get one against them.
