Ultimately their opinion is no more valid ours and random folks at the pub. None of us have played professional sport. It's why I don't get the popularity of shite like sunday supplement. Having a broadcast or journalism certificate doesn't make you more qualified to talk about football but when you bring that up the journos get into a hissy fit.

But both his and Durham's opinions on football are completely unqualified, and hold as much weight as fat Keith from the Rose & Crown or some of the nonsense you read on here.

I find him bloody interesting to listen to, when it comes to a chairmans/owners perspective as these sort of people dont tend to do much media work because theyre fucking minted...i know he's irritating to some but i think he's good on there.

Over in the US we have the views of Rodney Marsh on Sirius XM who says we are not a big club and that Kane has ruled himself out of a move ever to an elite club like Barcelona or Real Madrid because of his recent poor form. Apparently Kane will now spend the rest of his career at a “ Spurs level club “ because of that. Well of course we all hope he does it at Spurs but it does make you wonder whether Marsh lives in the real world. I guess he never had a bad patch in his life which is why he finished up at Fulham ( where he played most of his games ) and Tampa Bay Rowdies. Marsh only scored 1 goal for England , in his 9 games. With his skill base I would say Rodney was a total under achiever.

He will only do the daily spurs once a week because quite frankly there's not enough material. His only subjects will be when we get knocked out a cup, dele diving or maybe some expensive cheese. Our fan base is not as big as Arsenals (obviously) so the whole thing will be weak.

I sensed that was more bait than anything else - how many times did he have to regurgitate information on Arsenal/Wenger for instance?

End of the day, take it for what it is intended for - to make fans call in! Durham is a very good WUM but when I heard Goughie yesterday it was so unbelievably transparent that I just had to laugh really.

As always, the fans are far worse than any of the presenters.

Itll never happen though, the calls are all screened so the only callers that make it to air are either agreeing with him, or complete morons who can easily be taken apart by Durham.
On the rare occasions that someone starts putting him in his place with a decent counter argument, they're quickly faded down so Durham gets the final word without reply.
They've always done this.
