Nice touch from him.
On a related point, does he meet the freeki seal of quality eye candy?
Nah, absolute dog. My loins are still backing James Rodriguez.

It's obviously annoying that he probably has eyes elsewhere in the grand scheme of things but if we want this quality of player we have to accept we are not going to be their preferred choice and just hope that if/when they do come they love it here and want to stay. I could personally see Rabiot staying for years if it goes well. We'll be flirting with him and all the while he'll be holding out for a bigger club that takes him to Italy or Spain.
Tuchel would like to pick him but says he’s been told he’s not allowed. The club have made the decision not to pick him for any squads until he signs a contract. He’s also training with the reserves.Exactly. Tuchel is a coach who looks to give players like this a platform to improve so I imagine he's tried to motivate him. Either it's failed or the club and Rabiot have fallen out. If it's mostly a Tuchel vs Rabbit thing then it would be a huge gamble as perhaps Rabiot is someone who doesn't like to listen to the coach. We can't take that on board.
I've mentioned this before but I know from someone who has worked/works with both Tuchel and Emery, that Tuchel operates with more of the 'human' side of coaching whereas Emery put more effort into analysis. I understand that Tuchel allows the players a little more freedom on certain things, if Rabiot has fallen out with Tuchel despite the more relaxed environment then that would be a concern. Despite what I've been told, I don't know the ins and outs of the Rabiot situation though.
He's probably the best we can hope to get qualitywise in this window (and in the summer for that matter) but i fear his attitude might be a problem like some others on here. I can Imagine he (and his mum) will stir up things in a few years time when they see the oppurtunity to join one of the 'elite clubs'.
I would be lying if i said this signing didn't make me excited though - seems like a great player.
Nothing different than Toby and Eriksen not signing their contracts because they want to move on the bigger clubs. They're just being quiet about it but theres no difference for me.
Why is he not signing a contract at PSG?
Why is he not signing a contract at PSG?
Wondering this to. It is an odd situation and feels as though much more is going on there than meets the eye. I'm assuming it's not a stand off down to wages due to the club he is at. Was thinking maybe Barca have been in his ear for a while and that has turned his head. Really wouldn't be surprised to see everything go quiet in terms of the Barca links with him now and then suddenly we see him holding a Barca shirt in the summer.
Or he signs a new contract with PSG
Too much bad blood by now. What he really needs is a charismatic, emotionally intelligent, handsome Argentine with a sidekick called Jesus, a brand new stadium and an honoury membership on SC that entitles him to fortnightly bubble baths with @Archibald&CrooksOr he signs a new contract with PSG
‘SPORT’ reporting that the phonecall has taken place and that Poch has assured him he would be a key player. Expect this one to run to next Thursday
PSG seem to have signed a replacement in Paredes. I hope.Or he signs a new contract with PSG
I wouldn't let him anywhere near SC after what you lot said about his mum.Too much bad blood by now.
