I don't follow the match threads during matches...rather tend to watch the game .

But I notice there has been a kerfuffle over comments made earlier in the match and a corresponding backlash .

My personal take is that the match thread is indeed the place for the wild and insane mid-match comments we all make in the heat of the action and so extra tolerance should be shown to nervous/excitable people's outpourings at that time.

To come later , in the quiet of the post match situation and with the benefit of hindsight , and then rip into those who made off-the-cuff in-game remarks , is out of order .

Good result yesterday

After the heart-break of Wednesday, we had to shake off the hang-over and pick up 3pts by hook or by crook

And we did, so well done Spurs

Two huge games coming up in the nest 3 weeks; focus and courage lads, focus and courage (y)

Just to summarise then: All of our players are shit, and yesterday's match thread was an online guerilla campaign homage to the scenes at London Stadium on Saturday?

That or a few Gooners got a semi after their first decent week in awhile and attempted to take our end/thread. Felt like :troll: City in here.

I'd probably agree with this - it makes the MDT an entertaining and often hilarious read

As I mentioned it's got the the point where I don't even care about OTT comments in the match thread, I kind of expect It now but if someone replies to that said post and goads you over a post you made which was clearly illogical and just plain wrong then you shouldn't really complain about it, take the L and move on.

No ones ripping into them, they're just having a laugh at them.
Its not out of order, and if the people who are posting them are so upset with being called out, theres a very simple and obvious solution to that.

To an extent I agree with you. Personally I find venting online strange but guess it’s no stranger than me screaming at the TV.

Haven’t bothered reading this match thread but in the past read enough nonsense about our players being useless, Pochettino having no tactics etc that I find the threads generally unreadable.

I dont think we should underestimate how big a result this could be. I had about 70 texts yesterday expecting us to slip up again after Wednesday and that the wheels would come off - to be fair it looked like they might be right for a while! But we showed some great character, particularly after H had gone off, and hopefully the squad are bouncing again now.

Fingers crossed Harry misses only the International break and if we can get past Swansea next weekend then we've set ourselves up for a big finish to the season.

But this is the massive difference though, your lounge isn't a public forum, we all shout at the TV, but you wouldn't do the same if you were in the pub watching it or another public place, because you'd look a bit daft and people would take the piss.

I usually watch games at the pub and am very much shouting at the TV

If you were shouting some of the things that get posted in here, near me in a pub, then I would sure as fuck laugh at you and remind you of them later on.

That was definitely my initial thought.

However, when you push someone mid-air it's doesn't require much to knock them off balance, that's possibly why it was given.

Had Sanchez had both feet on the ground it would of been ridiculous to rule it out.

Still a bit fortunate, but its quite easy to knock someone off balance mid-air.
This is the point, when you see by how small a margin Sanchez missed the ball it didn't take much of a push to have that effect, definite push that led directly to the goal so right decision.

Mine is just general frustration rather than calling players shit.

Far from ideal but it's a good job we have a lot of attacking threat. It might convince Poch to give Moura some meaningful game time.

He usually introduces foreign players slowly and sporadically. It's nothing to be concerned by, he will get his game time.

But thats the difference and its just being a normal fan, we all do that, at home, in the pub or in the stands.
Its when frustration becomes abuse is when it crosses the line Imo.
