Imagine how confusing the last 10-15 pages of this thread have been, when you have the guy everyone is arguing with on ignore.

What I will say is if whoever it is is causing this much angst, and "making threads toxic" etc, then just put the twat on ignore, it's what the function is there for.

Never been to a Spurs match then I take it?!
Nah, only been an ST holder for 12 years lol.
Im referring to abuse of our players, which I've seen result in violence at games a few times.
Venting frustrations is one thing, abusing our own players is completely uncalled for.

It was a push for there disallowed goal maybe a tad unlucky.
But Son should of had a penalty.
Swings and roundabouts.

Totally agree - but isn’t that the point of this whole long, boring argument? I don’t believe the accused has actually abused any players.

Anyone abusing players gets rightly called out, both on here or at a match. People are getting called out for just general complaints or moans now, when the Thread Police take it upon themselves to become mods.

I don't see anything wrong with people getting laughed at when they call for a player to be subbed or not picked in the first place, and then said player pops up with an assist and a goal.
If people are that sensitive then maybe a match thread isn't the place to dump every thought and complaint that runs through their minds during a match....no ones forcing them to do that, they choose to.

Maybe its time to have two match threads, one for people that can control their output, and an amnesty thread for those who can't, and don't like being called out.
I for one would avoid the latter like the plague.

Do you mean like when people do this?

Say that again?

fookin hell - we win 4-1 and I come read this thread with all the wailing and gnashing of teeth. as the saying goes - some people could fuck up a wet dream.
i ignore the main thread heavily once the game is in motion , learnt to do that many years ago. Criticism is fine if its justified but these threads just turn into a shit storm and people knee jerking about the tiniest thing. I have a mate who does this already and that is annoying enough (although i do then on purposefully wind him up for fun) but reading even more knee jerk crap is just a complete no no.

Yes exactly - when did I ever say I’ve never done it myself?

It's not about whether you've EVER done it but you did do it a few hours before you then condemned the exact same thing, which is perplexing.

Do you or do you not think it's ok for people to call others out for saying stupid shit? I'm literally confused now.

Can't understand how you can be watchin the game and posting, reading posts at the same time. Maybe thats why the majority of posts during the game appear an absolute waste of time to me...great pass Erikson...., Ali what was that, get in SON!!!!
Pointless in my opinion. I sit watching the game and muttering those things to myself but wouldn't dream of going foruming with it.

Hes still crap. Seems the reason PSG let him go wasnt just down to disciplinary, I think its also down to a lack of quality. I expected a lot better.
I think there is a good player there but thus far I am not super impressed. I think his crossing is very hit and miss but I really expected him to take players on more. Every time he faces somebody up he cuts back inside and passes it.

I'm hoping that he gets better but at present I see right back as our weakest position.
